Road to Hana Tour

We took the NCL Pride of America Cruise to visit the Hawaiian islands. Viator customer representative was very helpful to find us this tour operator (Dynamic Tours) who will wait for passengers from the cruise ship, even if there is a delay in the ship to arrive at the Kahului port, debarking, etc. The driver Chelsea from Dynamic Tours was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The tour was as enjoyable as it can be with her narration and helpful tips. We highly recommend this tour. Chelsea also told us that the other tour operators go to Hana and come back the same route. Dynamic Tours take another route for returning back to the port, so we get to see the other side of the Maui island as well! It was beautiful and breathtaking.

The trip was absolutely awesome. Our tour leader Larry was extremely knowledgeable about Hawaii history and the lore of the different Polynesian God's and Goddess. He was also very helpful to two very handicapped se6 so That their day was a good one The scenery was unbelievable. Never to forget. Thanks to Dynamic Tour.

Justin was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. He made that day fun entertaining and we felt we gained some knowledge of the Hawaiian culture. We stopped at several places along the way between the waterfall, lava tube, black, sand, beach, the turtles and the coconut ice cream you couldn’t ask for a more perfect day.. the road to Hana can be treacherous and there were times that we had to pull over to let other people pass, but I felt very safe and would highly recommend this tour to other families. We had a wonderful adventure, learning local customs and legends, about local plants and animals and the sites as we traveled to Hana. The waterfalls, beaches, sea and landscapes were gorgeous. Tour guide Lisa was absolutely fantastic! She was knowledgeable, kind, warm and caring. Lisa went above and beyond and took exceptional care of her guests. We hope our paths will cross with her again when we return to Maui in a couple days.

Good way to see a lot of Maui

We really enjoyed this trip. Our guide had great stops lined up and shared a lot of interesting information. My kids especially liked the stops for swimming at the waterfalls and the black sand beach. The guide made an effort to use everyone's name, offered to take a pic of the family, and was very friendly. We did receive a text the morning of the excursion to please be prepared to tip the guide 15-25% ($30-$50 PER PERSON) and to acknowledge that we had received that message. So just be aware of that in budgeting. Also, we had been asked to select a type of deli sandwich beforehand (Boar's Head premade turkey, ham, roast beef or veggie) and we had requested turkey, but we wound up with roast beef because that's all that was left after handing out sandwiches to others. Finally, we had several cold bottles of water on the trip, but my husband wound up with a headache since there was nothing caffeinated on the bus or at any of the stops. Roads can be iffy and can create delays, so I wouldn't recommend this if you need to be back on a cruise ship at a particular time the same day. But overall we really enjoyed the trip and would recommend it to others.

This tour was awesome! The driver made us feel safe even on roads that normally would give us anxiety attacks. Knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and communicative- this tour was worth every penny. If you're in Maui- I highly suggest this tour!

If you want to ride the Road, this is the way to do it. Kristy is an amazing tour guide and a brilliant driver - which is important because this road is crazy! Definitely one for a local who knows it. Kristy takes you the whole way around the road whereas most stop halfway. I’m so pleased we did because there are so many other things to see. I was also rapt as most other tours start so early and we couldn’t do them as we were limited by the disembarkation time of our cruise ship. Thanks Kristy, loved your history and trivia knowledge, you made the trip amazing.

The Road to Hana is a very windy, VERY narrow road where you have the opportunity to see beautiful waterfalls, gorgeous jungle forests. Our tour guide Lea knew absolutely everyone along the road. She knew the best places to purchase fresh fruit and the best fresh guava juice. I would recommend this without hesitation.

The tour overall was great! However we went on a Sunday and the most renowned Aunty Sandy’s Banana bread is close on Sunday.. so we didn’t get chance to eat it. We passed by couple coconut water and fruit stands. We were really hoping if we can stop by and get some refreshments but that wasn’t included in the tour. Otherwise the tour was great, the scenery was beautiful and our tour guide knew so much about the island! We’ve learned a lot during our tour!

Would 100% recommend booking the tour to Hana with Heavenly!!! She was very welcoming and had such a happy and positive attitude the whole 10 hours. She made sure we got the best views for our photos and made just enough stops for bathroom breaks for the kids. She is very knowledgeable and educated us on the Hawaiian history and traditions. Definitely ask for Heavenly!!
