Overview

Venture out from Lahaina and discover the underwater world around Lanai on Maui's semi-private snorkel excursion. Join a small group on an ocean raft and cruise along the coast, keeping an eye out for playful dolphins. Stop at a couple of snorkel spots and don your gear to get face-to-face with several aquatic species like fish and sea turtles. CHECK IN 30 minutes prior to tour at Dive Maui Shop at 1223 Front Street, Lahaina. Park near Lahaina Cannery Mall and walk toward the ocean to Front Street, go south and over the bridge, dive shop is on the right before the blue building. Some roads are closed in the area, give yourself extra time.

This rafting + snorkeling was such an amazing experience! It was possible to get close to other islands, to see different types of fish, dolphins and we got lucky enough to see a turtle swimming close to us. Also, the captain was great and entertained us with very funny stories! :) I also have to say that Jeremy from Viator was super helpful in helping me and my friends on finding one activity that fit our necessities according to the time we had. We were able to book the snorkeling at the last minute. It was definitely one of the highlights of my vacations in Hawaii.

Great snorkeling adventure

The trip was super fun we saw all kinds of sea life near the coral. The guides Val Scott and Jill were very knowledgeable and even went snorkeling with us to point out the fish. They will give you pointers if your a first time snorkeler. Depending on ocean conditions can get a bit rough but would highly recommend this tour.

The boat ride was so much fun and the crew were very professional and fun to be with. The water was so warm and the scenery incredible. Very worthwhile and great because it is a smaller boat. Loved the snacks too!

This was an incredible snorkel and whale watching trip. Jill took us to one of the best snorkel sites we'd ever been too. Plenty to see and do. On the return trip we encountered a whale decide to put on a 30-40 minute acrobatic show for us just 100 feet away. This whale must have breached 15-20 times, did 20 or more tail slaps and fin slaps. Beyond awesome! All in all an incredible experience. Thank you Jill and crew.

Captain Callen and First Mate Paul were PHENOMENAL! They took us to a great spot and had several anecdotal stories to share along the way! Captain Callen even spotted a Manta Ray and stopped the boat for us to see. Totally recommend this excursion! Thank you!!

Snorkeling was better than anything I could have imagined. We went to 2 different spots. The crew was very knowledgeable with the eco life. They took good care of us by providing food, skin care lotions, and drinks. The skipper jumped in with us to help point out different marine life. We had 2 members of our party get sea sick so the crew helped take care of them to prevent further sickness. The snorkeling experience was memorable because we saw so much marine life and even got to see dolphins. The skipper knew how the dolphins reacted to the waves in the water, so he got the dolphins to “play”. This snorkel company was well worth it and knows how to take care of their clients.

Captain Jill and Val were great so full of knowledge and experience. We snorkeled in areas that normally are murky but the winds were in our favor. On our way back we saw 7 manta Ray's and were able to go into the water and watch them. I normally get a little sea sick on boats but it was the opposite on this boat. One tip would be apply sunblock on the top of your legs and top of the feet before heading back. So worth the light sunburn though.

Best part of Maui!

Captain Jill and Val were great hosts! We got to see a Pod of about 50 Spinner dolphins. Snorkeled above sea turtles and swam about 15 feet from them. My favorite was all the beautiful fish we saw at the reef! Jill and Val explained everything well and told us a lot of great history of the area as well. Highly recommend this tour !

My partner and I had a lovely time on this adventure! The snorkeling spots were breathtaking, the hosts Reese and Jo were friendly, delightful, funny and knowledgeable and the snacks were super tasty! Plan to give yourself extra time to find parking and some leeway in case the tour runs late. (Ours did due to finding a new snorkeling spot and Im certainly not going to complain about an extra 45 min in the beautiful ocean <3)

We were running late by a couple of minutes, and they were well within their rights just to leave us. But, they hanged around for 5 more minutes and we made it!! Of course if we were any later they’ll just leave but I was really touched by the fact they’re willing to communicate and help when you have trouble coming to the harbor. I had a blast, but the reason I gave this 4 stars is because my boyfriend got motion sickness. If you easily get motion sickness, choose a bigger boat. They were also really helpful by providing tips and how to deal with motion sickness, but he remained nauseous even after the tour. They keep you safe while having fun. They tell you where not to go and where you can go. They also look out for marine life for you! If they saw a whale or dolphin they’ll follow it so you can see it! We saw a humpback whale!!

Unfortunately that can happen on all size boats (larger boats can be even worse because they travel slower). I personally get sea sick and understand the struggle! Dolphins!

Unfortunately most areas weren’t clear enough for snorkeling but our captain took us to look for dolphins and we saw a whole pod and they swam all around us! I would definitely encourage you to bring a dry bag (there’s no where to keep stuff dry on the boat) and remember to reapply sunscreen!
