What To Expect

Small groups can enjoy four-seater Polaris RZR vehicles—with the option to be a driver or a passenger—as the route unveils picturesque areas unreachable by standard vehicles.

During the tour, explore over 1,400 acres of terrain near Kapalua Airport, featuring panoramic ocean vistas and Hawaii’s pristine nature spots. Learn about the unique ecosystem of the Pu'u Kukui Watershed Preserve and the rare species it's home to.

This 2-hour tour combines thrilling rides with Hawaiian cultural insights, accommodating a maximum of 15 travelers to ensure the trip isn’t too crowded. No worries about ending in the wilderness, as the trip conveniently ends back at your start point.

All drivers MUST be at least 18 years of age to operate machines and MUST provide a valid Driver’s License.

Child must be 7 or older to be a passenger. Please select the option for Driver + Child Passenger. Up to two children can ride with one driver.
Each Adult driver and all passengers (Adults & Children) are required to have their own ticket.
Covered closed toe footwear is REQUIRED for all tours.
Guests may get dusty or muddy depending on weather conditions. We recommend guests wear dark clothing or clothing they don’t mind getting stained. Clothing (top and bottom) is required to participate in tour.
Safety Helmets and Goggles are provided by Maui Off Road Adventures and are required for all guests to wear.
No recent surgeries, neck/back/knee problems, pregnant women, or any serious health conditions allowed on tours.
Drivers MUST be over 25 to drive minors under 18.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Fun and adventurous tour in Maui!

This was a really fun tour in Maui! The tour is about 2 hours long. You do get very dusty/muddy. I recommend bringing a change of clothes and towels to clean yourself up after the tour. They don’t have showers but they do have large outdoor sinks. They provide a helmet and goggles but it’s a good idea to bring a face mask or similar.

The day was a little overcast and had some drizzling but that did not stop us from having an absolutely amazing day. What an adventure through some really rough and senic trails. Learned a lot about the pineapple 🍍 growing trade and its impact on the local environment. We loved it and our guides, Allen and Tim made it .....GREAT...!!!! Plan on getting dirty and head over to Fleming Beach after to clean and cool off. I would recommend you bring a change of clothes if you plan on going directly to another event.

Too Hot with the Required Helmet and Goggles

Unfortunately, my 7 year old son had a panic attack due to the heat and required helmet and goggles before we left on the excursion. The helmet and goggles covered his entire face which caused him to overheat quickly. We were told by a guide not to worry, they would "take care of us" but when I inquired about a partial refund, I was told that wasn't possible because we booked through Viator, and not through them directly. While I understand that our cancellation was very last minute, it seems fitting that we would have been offered a partial refund. The staff otherwise was very friendly. We were bummed to miss out on the excursion.

Was super fun!! We enjoy it so well and the route that you use was very fun and super curvy!! You can have a ton of fun!! Tour guides were great guys!! Only reason not 5 stars is that some of the drivers in front or behind were slow or bad drivers. So it slow down the fun!!

This tour is rugged and very cool. The guides take you through some rough terrain. They are friendly and funny. We planted a tree with our guide and he told us the history surrounding the pineapple plantations. Highly recommended.

Very convoluted stories about it being such a preserve and endangered plants etc. then on the tour it’s really an old dumping ground for plastic-filled pineapple plantation. Got really boring and too long, definitely not worth the price. They don’t even offer a cup of water.

My son and his girlfriend joined the adventure yesterday and they had a great time. It rained most of the tour which made the ride a bit more exciting. They said the guides were great and the trip was so much fun. This was our second experience coming out and I'm sure we will return again. Thumbs up.
