This was the most amazing tour I have ever taken. The balloon ride over the pyramids took my breath away. The breakfast in the cave and seeing the pyramids up close were mind blowing. I will never forget this!

Magical experience

A reliable and efficient tour operator. They accommodated our slightly out of the city pick up location and we were picked up on time by a friendly and helpful driver. The balloon ride was amazing from start to finish. Truly magical. All the staff were very attentive and cheerful. The pilots were clearly very experienced. They also took plenty of photos and videos for everyone. Overall, a wonderful experience.

What a great experience this was. Our driver Jorge arrived at 4:50am and drove us to the hot air balloon location. We were greeted by our host Lorena who was so lovely and very knowledgeable on the local area culture and history. The hot air balloon journey was truly amazing and something I will never forget.

We had a great time, from start to finish. We were picked up ridiculously early which turned out to be the perfect time. We were picked up in a very comfortable SUV which we shared with 2 other people. We arrived in time for a light snack and to see the balloons being blown up. The balloon ride was fantastic, it was probably about 45 minutes. Afterwards we were given breakfast, as well as an explanation of the significance of the cave. After, we were shown the crafts and tequila and then to the archeological sight. We were so happy with how organized and efficient everything was. I have to also say that the staff all genuinely enjoyed their jobs and that is a very enjoyable experience for us.

5/5 for the flight. The view was amazing, the balloon feels safe, and the ride was confortable. However, I took the strong points out for 1) I think they are too focused on selling the videos and photos. The gopro that was hanged on the side of the balloon is very visible it obstruct the view. You can easier avoid the hanging gopro though, but it’s still annoying to see. And the photos and videos are even more expensive than the tour itself. I don’t see a lot of other balloons hanging the gopro though. 2) the detail of the trip listed La Cueva as the breakfast place, but they ended up taking us to another cave restaurant. Food is good, but prefer if the detailed of the tour is more accurate. Would prefer if they just list the detail as a restaurant in the cave instead.

Van was crammed. Would have been nicer to have less people in there. Ballon aviator guy was fantastic. Felt safe. Great views. Too much trying to sell us on pictures and knick knacks. Would have proffered to spend more time at pyramids instead

Avoid Arturo and the Complete Photo/Video Package

So, let me tell you about this balloon ride in Teotihuacan - it was like stepping into a whole new world! The views from up there and at the pyramids were absolutely stunning, like something out of a dream. The breakfast was just okay, nothing to write home about, but the cave restaurant was pretty cool. Now, here's the kicker - we ran into Arturo, the guy offering a complete photo and video package. Word to the wise: steer clear of buying it from him. We shelled out extra cash for the full deal but only got drone and camera footage. When we asked for GoPro vids, Arturo went MIA. That shady move put a damper on things and left a sour taste in our mouths. Despite the awesome cultural immersion and views, that whole video fiasco left us feeling a bit meh about the whole experience and took away some of the magic from it all.

The entire team from our driver (Ari), to the tour guide (Lorena), and the whole balloon launch/landing team and pilot (Agustine) were kind, respectful and helpful. The day was amazing! I highly recommend this tour- it was above and beyond what I expected. Every thing was well organized, ran smoothly and we knew we were in very good hands the whole day.

An absolute must!!! What a spectacular experience. This was my first hot air balloon ride and it did not disappoint. Breakfast in the cave was excellent and really cool. Marketplace was informative. The entire adventure exceeding expectations

Had a great time! Everyone was very nice and professional. The hot air balloon ride was so beautiful. Our balloon pilot was great and landed is very safely. The driver they provided picked me up and dropped me off at my hotel. After the balloon ride, there was breakfast in a cave we then went to a souvenir shop where there was a presentation and time to buy merchandise. After that we went to the pyramids where you can spend about two hours touring the pyramids.

Company cares more about money then experiences for travelers

Honestly was a fun experience, just not too happy with the hot air balloon designation. We were a couple and they add one more random person in our 1/4 of a section of the hot air balloon. It was awkward for us and him. We paid so much and got horrible pictures because there was no wear for us to move to get a picture without the guy. He wasn’t even a part of our pick up and he too would have been happier having his own fourth of a section. No to mention safety of the landing. Since there we three of us in the 1/4 section, we couldn’t even bend down properly like the captain stated upon the landing of the hot air balloon. Overall please don’t do this to any other couple again. This excursion is expensive and we didn’t even get the pictures that we wanted. Would not recommend this if packing people to ruin experiences in hot air balloons is the motive. We paid the same as everyone else and so did that random guy and the three of us did not get the experience that we wanted. Should have picked another hot airballoon company. The breakfast was nice though. Overall awkward and not worth the money if you can’t even get the pictures that you want.

hello, we are very sorry that you did not like the experience, however let me remind you that you booked a GENERAL experience that is to say SHARED for the price because if you had wanted a private flight obviously the price is much higher, I remind you that the hot air balloon does not carry people, it carries WEIGHTS our balloons and all balloons are subject to a maximum and minimum weight, it was not random as you say, that's why we ask for pesos in advance when you make your reservation, unfortunately it is not in our hands to take your pictures inside or outside the basket that aspect is for each client, likewise the company also offered photo service by trained people in that position, obviously with an extra cost. it is unfortunate for our team to receive this rating when we do our best to meet the expectations of our customers every day, however we accept all comments and the right to express their opinion.

The balloon ride was so incredibly beautiful. It felt safe and smooth the whole time. The team and pilot were extremely capable and prepared. The driver picked us up in a comfortable vehicle, and there was coffee and snacks before our flight. After the ride, we were drive to the cave restaurant for breakfast- FYI this tour did not include La Gruta, which was the big cave restaurant I saw on many tour photos. It was a small cave system, I think the name was La Mixtan? Different vibe but the breakfast and coffee were good. We went for a local liquor tasting and learned about geology and crafting, then our group split up. Some people decided to drive back to the city without visiting the pyramids. The rest of us were dropped off at Teotihuacan archaeological site and paid $95 pesos for entrance. We half an hour and a half to walk the sites, which I’d recommend. You might want 2 hours to walk a little slower or take more photos, but it wasn’t very spread out. The drive home for air conditioned and comfortable.

Booking was easy & the driver showed up on time. To note - this experience is actually a bunch of tour operators. The balloon ride was operated by Globo aerostat which was a great experience & a very professional. They took drone footage & had GoPros hanging off the balloon & offered for sale at the end for packages of 1800-2400 pesos. The drone was an annoying little bug that kept getting in my photos, but does take amazing footage. The ride concluded with Lambrusco. Then we went to the cave restaurant that offered a pre fix menu. They were sure to drop a book for tip at the end, which was awkward because there was no receipt to understand what the meal cost. Then you get shuttled to a store that was informative about rocks & included a tasting of 3 different types of liquor, then obviously time set aside to shop at said store. Finally we were shuttled to the pyramids, and since we were a group of 5, got to choose how long we wanted to stay. The drive back to CDMX was slow going & the day required a nap post trip. The balloon ride was very worth it.

Once in a lifetime experience with a few negatives.

The ballon ride was everything and more than we hope for. We were one of the first balloons in the air, allowing us to see a fantastic sunrise, one of the last to touch down. The wind speed was very low, and allowed for a 55 min flight. Our pilot was a professional and gave us up close and high up views of the site. When you touch down there is an entire crew of young men, that hustle to get you on the ground and back up the balloon, they work extremely hard. Please please please consider tipping $50-100 pesos, it literally makes their day. Pre-communication was non-existent with the vendor, through the Viator messages, by the provided phone number or the drivers number that messaged late the night before. The driver was prompt and picked us up at the quoted time. We had requested a cost on private transport, and never heard back. You WILL be packed like into a small bus with 12-13 other people like a sardine. The AC nor Heat worked, and the bus was very cold on the way to the site and very hot on the way back... Because the pack as many in as they can, you WILL be leg to leg with strangers, and likely will have to split from your group. The vendor should consider only having one group per row of seats for a better guest experience, especially considering the cost. Coffee and tea was not ready until it was too late and we had to depart. The breakfast in the cave was beautiful, but lacked any options of menu choices, this should be pre-disclosed before booking. You will be offered a spicy Chilaquiles with chicken, egg or steak. Sweet breads and fruit. Cafe de Olla and Juice. You are prohibited from ordering from the menu, even at your own cost. Our guide when getting to the site spoke excellent English and was full of knowledge. Overall the experience was a memory maker, and I would suggest friends to book, however pre-purchase transparency of all details is a must.

Alberto and his team were super responsive. We booked the ballon and transport from CDMX at 9pm the night before and were picked up on time at 5am the next day. Service and experience were amazing. Highly recommend.
