What To Expect

Your food and sightseeing tour starts in Piazza Bellini in the heart of the historic center of Naples. Meet your guide near the Greek ruins in the middle of the piazza.

Follow your guide to some of the best under-the-radar street food eateries, and sample local specialties like zucchini flowers, ragù, baccalà, and pizza.

Start down the narrow Via dei Tribunali, where you sample mozzarella from a traditional cheese shop and some of the best fried pizza in town.

Next, spend about 1 hour exploring Spaccanapoli, another narrow street through the historic center.

Continue to the Museo del Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella. Spend about 45 minutes exploring the museum and music conservatory, and the narrow streets nearby. Taste artisanal gelato and typical local pastries like sfogliatella and babà.

Pass Piazza del Gesu en route to Via Toledo, where your tour ends.

Isabella was a wonderful guide. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and clearly loves the city. It was a good pace, with plenty of info on the food and surrounding. She also made some recommendations for the rest of our trip. The food was all excellent. No need to stop for dinner after!

What a fun tour! We did not have a lot of time in Naples so we maximized by taking this food tour. Our tour guide was Mario and he was quite knowledgeable about monuments, culture, and of course the food. We tried quite a few cuisines and by the time we finished, we were quite full. The pizza was some of the best that we had in all of Italy while on this tour. We feel that the time and amount of food was well worth the money.

The tour is a great way to see the area and sample delicious food. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience memorable. I highly recommend the tour at the start of your visit. We went to a variety of restaurants and historic sites, our guide made suggestions for sites to see in Naples.

I was thinking this would be a highlight of my trip but was disappointed. Our guide Marianna was unorganized and provided little information during the tour. The food was not special and most offerings not unique to Naples. Our first stop had a charcuterie board with buffalo mozarello, a crostini, and something made with lard and almonds. Second stop was a slice of mediocre margarita pizza and a fried pizza that was similar to food found at a state fair. Third stop a small taste of lemoncello. We then had 2 small pastries-the size of a cookie(one was a rum apinge cake) and finished with gelato. I noticed many group members left their food uneaten. It seemed there was a push to purchase products at every stop. Marianna gave us a little folklore which was interesting but in the end I dont know any more about the city than when we started. The entire tour took place in a run down area of the city. Few photo ops. I wouldn’t recommend this tour

The street food tour of Naples was really good. Viviana, the guide, took us through historical moments with good storytelling skills, gave us some fun facts about Naples and of course guided us to the good food. We were about 14 people in the group which the guide managed really well despite the busy and loud streets. All in all a well spent time of a Friday evening.

This tour is a great introduction to Naples cuisine and city life. Our tour guide Isabella, helped us navigate the hustle and bustle of the city's street vendors and markets. She showed us the best of the best charcuterie, pizza, lemoncello and desserts. We started the tour as Americans and ended as Italians!
