What To Expect

Climb aboard one of the open-air double-decker buses for an unforgettable introduction to Naples on a hop-on hop-off tour.

There are three routes to discover — Line A (The Art Tour), Line B (Naples Bay), and Line C (San Martino) — with 32 strategically placed stops in total between them. An entire loop on any one route takes about 75 minutes, and all three tours stop at Piazza Municipio, so it’s easy to switch from one to the other.

The commentary is uninteresting, mainly just telling you the names of buildings. Staff were very good and the bus was good but essentially a waste of time and money.

Really a great opportunity to see a lot of Naples on two separate lines. The blue will take you coastal and high up into the Chiaia area with beautiful views and the red line takes you around the historic area of Centro Storic. Two ver different vibes.

I learned a lot about the area just by listening to the canned recording. For example, that pizza was the food of the poor. Or that Naples was the capitol until the reunification. The trip along the coast was quite beautiful; a good way to see this part of Naples without the stress of driving. Overall, this was a good way to get oriented to the city. You'll need to get off if you want to visit any particular site with more detail. Also, be aware if it rains and you're sitting next to a window on top you might get wet.

Spent a lot of time for bus to leave. Unfortunately, Napoli is an old, dirty city with lots of graffiti. Many places of interest were drive-bys

I love these kind of tours. You are in control of where you go and how much time you spend there. I had to give this one four out of five because the initial bus stop is hard to find and not well labeled. If you come in via the port- proceed up the hill, turn left on the street with the fort on your right and keep walking. You should see the buses.

Pickup point was very convenient for cruise pax. Boarding was quick. Conductor was friendly and helpful. We were riding full routes on both red and blue lines. The latter was more pleasant with ocean views and cool breezes along the route. Some street sections were rough though. Free wifi access but download speed was so so. Bus tickets can be purchased at pickup point for 25 euros each. Good value for the money spent.

the Hop on Hop off bus ended at 6:00 pm way to early. Not happy. Got off ship at 11:00 by the time we got on the hop on hop off it was after 12:00. would not recommend

Make sure that you do the blue line so you go all the way around the Bay of Naples. The city of Naples is actually very crowded and dirty.

The places to visit are nice, we took line A and B, the only recommendation is that the Bus did not have some plastic windows and we the rain wet us and the seat were also wet.

My first time ever doing a Hop on Hop off bus tour and I am SO happy I did! I booked it early in the morning of my one day in Naples. It was a very long walk from my hotel to the starting point, but once I got there everything was great! I stayed on for all the stops so I could see where I wanted to go. After taking full advantage of Line A, I got onto the Line B bus, as it stopped close to my hotel/ but I stayed on it and went round the whole route again! So lovely driving along the coast! It really was a perfect day and definitely left me wishing I could stay longer to explore Naples further! Highly recommend!

Cruise passengers, interested in this excursion should be aware that the place of the bus is more than 1/2 mile from the cruise terminal. This is important for those with limited walking ability. It is on the far side of the castle Novo the bus tour was fine although the commentary is very difficult to understand.
