Tickets can not be transferred. No refunds for any reason (including weather in New Orleans or any other location) All sales are final. Please arrive a few minutes prior to departure time. Tours depart at the scheduled time. If guests do not check in Before the tour they can not call & meet at a different location. Late arrivals will not be refunded. We reserve the right to refuse service to guests who show signs of extreme intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund. Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements.Please be aware that @ cut off time for reservations if the minimum numbers are not met the tour will be cancelled & you will be contacted by phone, text, or email up to 1 hour before the tour is scheduled to depart. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternate tour or full refund. We do not offer additional compensation for a customer who feels inconvenienced by the tour being cancelled. Knowing that there is a chance that this tour may be cancelled guests may want to have a back up plan in the event that this tour is cancelled last minute. If a guest agrees to attend the alternate tour all the same terms and conditions apply. Once a guest confirms the new date / time for a tour no refund will be issued if a guest decides to cancel.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours due to inclement weather or any other acts of God. Departure Times are subject to change due to local traffic conditions. In the event of this taking place guests will be contacted via phone, text or email.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings or any injuries sustained due to the old, uneven & dilapidated streets & walkways. Participants are advised not to obstruct the sidewalks or streets during this tour. We accept no responsibility for anything that arises from this or failure to follow any other instructions while on tour.
Service animals allowed
A fee of $250 will be charged for any piece of lost, damaged, or missing piece of paranormal equipment if a guest takes the equipment they will be expected to return it immediately or pay the $60 fee so that it can be replaced immediately. Guests are not allowed to video any portion of the tour. No videos of any narrations given by tour guides will be permitted.
This is a walking tour. The duration: 1 - 2 hours it may last longer depending on the wait time inside the bars. Some bars may be busy & if numerous stops are made to busy bars this can delay the tour to a large degree. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please keep in mind some bars do not allow kids inside. No entry is gained inside locations. Tour is subject to change without notice. This tour is also known as the New Orleans Drunk History Tour. Drinks can be purchased at bars. Drinks are not included in the price of the ticket

Tours start at the scheduled time. Tours meet outside on the sidewalk in front of the bar, not inside the bar. Bartenders and staff at the American Sports Saloon have nothing to do with tours. We are not affiliated with The American Sports Saloon.
It is imperative that guests give contact infornation that will allow us to reach guests at all times- this includes at the time of reservations, before and after tours
Late arrivals will not be refunded

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

It was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable very nice, and he did offer quite a few rest stops for those of us who needed them, and at the end of the tour he gave great fun facts.

Tour cancelled 5 minutes AFTER it was supposed to start. And I found out it was cancelled only after I contacted the tour company to see what was going on. I know it says cancellation is possible but don’t do it AFTER the tour was supposed to start, and with zero communication. Just disappointed.

My family and I were passing through New Orleans on a road trip. We only had a day and a half in the quarter and it was my sons first time visiting. I really wanted to do this tour to show my family the history and culture of the city. We had a 2pm tour, and I got a notification around 12pm that it was cancelled and rescheduled to 7pm. We changed all other plans to work around this. It was 6:43pm and I had walked my family all the way down bourbon to the meeting point. I got another notification that the tour was cancelled because of traffic, but we could join a 9PM tour. At that point we were done waiting around on this tour guide. Traffic is a lame excuse 15 minutes before meeting time as the guide should have already been parking and in the quarter. This is the one event I was really looking forward to, and I went through a legit company. I thought viator would be more reliable.

This was really great! Coty was our guide. He was very knowledgeable & has a great booming voice so everyone could hear. He was a great storyteller & kept everyone engaged. He was late (about 15 minutes), though he did text & let us know. We did the day tour & were able to stop for beverages which was great because we were on a birthday trip with a large group. It was definitely worthwhile to get a different view of the French Quarter.

Thank you for your feedback. Next time you choose the haunted tour it is our recommendation that you choose a night time departure. I understand you choose the 11am departure which has its own great attributes however the atmosphere at night really adds to any haunted tour. This tour provides ghost stories and the historical background behind them along with a piece paranormal equipment for use at all times during this entire tour route. My daughter was the guide for your tour and she expressed that your children were absolutely precious, they were a delight! If you would like to attend the 7pm or 9pm tour departure to see the difference since you are looking for a spooky haunted tour just let me know. I’ll comp tickets for you and your kids. Our goal is for EVERY guest to enjoy our tour and walk away knowing we care and appreciate you! Ashli

DO NOT book this tour - no show no refund

We booked the 7pm tour. My family waited until 8:15pm and the tour guide Coty still had not shown up. We left and the tour operator refused to issue a refund. The message from the refund refusal was “this tour operated as scheduled”, regarding of my proof of message exchange that the tour guide NEVER showed up. The worst part of this whole experience was being lied to. Around 7:30pm, when I texted him for and estimated arrival time, he texted “I am parking now”. So my family stopped exploring the French Quarter area and waited outside of the meet spot for over half hour as the tour guide kept saying he was arriving soon. Eventually, he admitted he was “still stuck in traffic”. The lie was worse than the no show. Had he never lied about “parking”, we’d been gladly exploring the area until he eventually arrived. But we were tricked into spending our first night in New Orleans waiting outside of a business while my child could have had a wonderful dinner at one of these restaurants in the area.

Coty was giving a private tour at 4pm and finished a 6pm in the French Quarter. He was steps away from the meeting location 🤷🏼‍♀️ Madison was the guide for this tour. We do not ever want a guest upset and I always do whatever I can to ensure guests are happy but this isn’t a case that I can even begin to work with. I guess when you have an abundance of guests ever year you will have a certain few that do things like this. It’s sad because I want each and every person who purchases a tickets to enjoy the tours we provide. This customer was refunded via Viator / TripAdvisor and the tour guide Maddie, who is the owners daughter gave this tour. The tour started on time: @ 7pm with 6 attendees who checked in - we have time stamped photos of the customers at the meeting location! Coty was not the tour guide for the tour. Evidently the customer saw his name on other reviews?!? I spoke with the customer via Viator extranet never the phone and explained that the tour was operating as scheduled. All the guest had to do was meet the tour group & Madison (their scheduled guide) along the route. When the customer sent the message the tour has already started and was half way finished. 6 attendees on the tour can plus we have 2 different views of time stamped photos of the customers at the starting point for this tour! I explained the tour was operating when they contacted us via email Viator extranet! When guests are late I guess it’s easier to blame our tour guide. She could have easily just met the group along the tour route. Our phone number 504-358-7012 was never contacted by this guest- the only contact made was via Viator messaging system and I was clear that the tour was operating. These reviews are such a disgrace. The bottom line - the guest was in deed refunded The guests could have been on time but even not being on time wouldn’t have stopped them from attending. If they had simply met the group along the route they could have attended! After all this and the refund being issued they could have attended a tour on a different time or date and time. I’m not sure what the end game for this guest was I am being to think they weren’t even in Nola or this is competition. Who Knows!!!!

This this tour was very informative of New Orleans history and haunting past. Our guide was knowledgeable and allowed for stops along the way to get drinks or use the facilities. We were able to see a side of the city that is unknown walking the streets as a tourist.

Coty Young was an awesome guide. He really represented NOLA. Our teenage kids were fully engaged the whole time. One of them said it was the highlight of the trip. It was fun, educational, funny and interesting.

I would personally be ashamed of myself to say this.... If you had paid any attention you would have noticed that there was a group of hearing impaired people on this tour. Maybe you paid attention and maybe you didn’t but regardless that is what I consider to be the worst. The guests & guide had masks however to communicate they had to pull their masks down. To say you would catch COVID from people who are hearing impaired is so sad. If you are that concerned about covid you should stay home. This tour listing states that drinks can be purchased along the tour route. When you book a public tour it is obvious that other people will be in attendance and if they want to stop and get a drink or use the restroom we do our best to accommodate and keep everyone happy. It sounds like a private tour is something that would fit your particular needs in the future. As for the comment stating that the tour consisted of 3 or 4 stories .... how did you not realize that from the start to the end of this tour there were over ten stops with a duration of two hours. It would be near impossible to only tell three or four stories during this tour. Maybe it was the drinks from the bar stops offered that got ya missing half the tour!

Firstly I apologize that you are disappointed. We never want any guest to feel like they didn’t learn anything. Our goal is for everyone to have fun and learn about the city we love so very much. This is a French Quarter tour so if you walked around the area prior to the tour I am sure you saw some of the locations previously. However this tour goes into great detail on the properties it visits and passes by. We have given this tour since 2014 and I have never heard anyone say they didn’t learn anything in fact all the reviews on here were stellar prior to yours. Ten 5 star reviews and one 4 star review written by guests. I personally contact guests randomly and ask them for feedback and this review really blows my mind. It was brought to my attention by the tour guide (who happens to be the co owner of the company) that you wanted him to take you and your husband to see the pyramid tomb in St Louis Cemetery 1. As he explained, the reason he was unable to take you to that particular cemetery is 1. That wasn’t a part of the tour 2. The St Louis Cemetery 1 it isn’t in the French Quarter (this is a French Quarter tour and the description is clear) 3. St Louis Cemetery 1 personally hosts tours during the day only. There are some tour companies that work with the cemetery as it is closed off to the public and they require everyone to go in with a tour guide. You would need to book a tour with the cemetery or company that works for the cemetery. Our company only offers French Quarter tours. Even if my tour guide had taken you out of the French Quarter and walked you to the cemetery it would have been closed! As far as the locations, every location listed on this tour itinerary was on the tour you attended. The tour route actually would make it near impossible for you to miss a location due to where it departs and concludes. If you are referring to St. Louis Cemetery 1 it is not listed on this tour description. From what I see it appears as though you assumed that the cemetery / mass burial ground that the description lists was St Louis Cemetery 1 however that is a different cemetery. We visit the cemetery / mass burial ground that is located in the French Quarter and guests are given a narration that provides history behind it and the surrounding area. Fantastic tour, fascinating and quite spooky. I'm so glad I attended as there is so much to learn about the history and tales (that could be true) of New Orleans. Corey was fabulous, he really added to the ambience of the tour with his mysterious manner, not your typical tour guide.
