What To Expect

New York City’s Central Park spans 843 acres (341 hectares) of lovely gardens, lakes, bridges, and unique monuments. To explore this iconic oasis, meet your friendly local guide a few blocks south from the park, where you’re fitted for a hybrid bike and receive a helmet and free park map. Choose a morning or afternoon departure for the tour. 

Enjoy an easy ride along the park’s many bike-friendly paths and trails as you peddle by landmarks like Sheep Meadow and the Jackie Onassis Reservoir. Your guide narrates the tour through a speaker so everyone can hear historical info and fun facts about passing attractions. Learn about the park’s connection to The Beatles as you pass by the Strawberry Fields memorial and see the apartment building where John Lennon once lived.

I love all the sights we got to see and the tour guide really seemed to know his stuff. I felt I got to see a lot more of Central Park then going it alone! I would do the tour again and recommend to people.

The bike ride was a nice overview of Central Park and our guide Benjamin was very informative of the history and sites. The e-bikes were in good condition and fun to ride.

Fabulous tour with Dan. Lots of engagement, information and entertainment! Loved my ebike - as a 71 year old who walked 35000 steps the day before and thought her legs would never work again, it was a life saver! Dull weather, but it meant we had the park largely to ourselves and we made the most of it. Would happily do it all over again if I had the time.

Too Many reservations. Too many ppl. They were overwhelmed. No directions. Not sure why there was miscommunication btw Viator n establishment cuz I saw many ppl had Viator voucher n I done think they knew to expect that many ppl. Guide was great tho. Not a small group tour. There was 16 ppl in our group

Dan was a fantastic guide - he maneuvered us extremely well through the park, connected with all the tour guests from different countries and was very invested in our enjoyment while giving us knowledge. Bikes were in great shape and helmets fit well.

My wife and I booked this tour several months before our cruise ship stopped at New York. We supposed to allow to disembark early to make our 10 am tour, but was delayed due to some technicality. I called the operator Unlimited Biking and they were able to change to the 1 pm tour. For cruisers, the distance is about 2.5 miles from Pier 88 to 56 W 56th St. Once we got there, we signed in, they charged $1 to run the credit card (I guess in case they have to charge if we damage the bike). Our guide is PAUL KELLY, and he is AWSOME. The course is about 6 miles starting from the east then round around the north then come down the south. There are about 3 or 4 gentle up hill (but long), just be prepared. The weather was 60+ degrees, sunny, light wind, a surprise for October 9, 2023. We stopped at a number of attractions and PAUL explained very well along the way, he also took pictures for us (he is in the middle in the attached). The whole tour is about 2.5 hours. In case of hunger, there are a few food trucks nearby as well as small Chinese, Korean, and Japanese restaurants right next door. NOTE: bring water bottle (not included).

We highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Joel was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of Central Park and Manhattan. Shared many interesting stories and facts dating back to the American Revolution to current events.

I paid a separate higher price for a small group experience. I guess we did not have the same definition of small group. We were the largest group that left at that time. Also as my husband was the tallest person in the group, he was asked to anchor. The guide was leading ahead and my husband was left to handle the person who could not handle the hill on the bike ride. That was not his responsibility. I understand that the guide was stuck, but then if you have a large group (AND WE PAID FOR A SMALL GROUP EXPERIENCE) add a helper at the end. Not a difficult ride, but not everyone has the same fitness level. Again, the guide was ahead when a member of the group fell of his bike and participant had to help the rider. Thank goodness the park is beautiful.

Paul gave us a really great bike tour of Central Park. He was very knowledgeable about the park and the history. The bikes are well maintained and we enjoyed using the e-bike. We saw all the hi lights of the park and would recommend the tour. He even took group pictures along the way and shared them with us.
