Nice time.

I have taken this experience before (Covid) and I really enjoyed myself. I did this time also, everyone was very nice and helpful. The only item which could be improved is lunch. It used to be in the mainstore and was a nice enjoyable sit down. Now, you have to cross street (it was cold) and get a prepackaged sandwich and a drink, sitting at a bar. Not enjoyable. Also, I wasn’t able to leave my coat at the concierge. But, the limo home was great and I was escorted to the limo. And, the forms for tax refund was a breeze. Yes, I would do it again and hope too.

So much fun!

If you want to be treated like royalty, this is the experience. You go to the lounge, have a drink-champagne, coffee, soda, etc. Relax for a minute and go out to the magnificent Galeries Lafayette and shop to you drop. We explored the store, then went across the street to the Home Store. Just beautiful to walk around. Back to GL and to Angelinas for a delicious lunch. Little more shopping and back to the lounge. You get your tax refund info (bring passport) , so when you get to airport it’s easy. Then they bring a car and off to your hotel with all your goodies. Loved it.

Wonderful service and beautiful lounge! Upon approaching the Concierge, I was immediately greeted warmly and ushered into the sophisticated and quiet lounge. I was soon served tea and cookies. The terrific concierge then processed my tax refund paperwork. I stayed there for nearly an hour and would have stayed longer if I didn't have back to back appointments. Was also given a Galeries Lafayette bag which doesn't seem to fit the style of the store. Plain and empty! Would have been nice if it was filled with a few samples of anything!

No-one at Galeries Lafayette seemed...

No-one at Galeries Lafayette seemed to know anything about where their Concierge Lounge was and when we did find it, it was simply a small but nicely furnished room with virtually no facilities other than a private bathroom. The TV screen wasn't working, nor was the music system and there were no pastries available as advertised. We managed to get a small bottle of orange juice each but there was very little choice just that or coffee. There was nowhere for us to store our luggage the main reason for booking the experience whilst e shopped so we had to spend almost an hour and thirty euros getting a taxi to and from Gare Du Nord in order to stash our two small travel cases in a storage locker there! Hardly value for money as we basically got a small orange juice each for our money with sit down for ten minutes very little else!

The Parisian Shopping Experience offers guests access to our private lounge, a dedicated concierge service, fast-track payment and tax refund service, delivery of in-store purchases to your hotel or residence in Paris, complimentary drinks, a voucher to have a snack at one of our restaurants, international magazines, a tote bag, access to Wi-Fi and bathrooms. For security reasons, we do not store your luggage for you but we do understand that this posed a problem and will see what we can do to better accommodate our customers. I was glad I booked this item. After a few hours at the Paris Galeries Lafayette I needed a break. It was nice to relax in a private lounge with either champagne, soda, water or juice and other snacks. Service was great, bathrooms modern and clean. It was nice to get s souvenir bag and other items. If you're going to be in Paris and have the opportunity to visit the Galeries Lafayette you'll be glad to take a break in a nice quiet lounge.
