What To Expect

Climb aboard your luxury coach at a central Paris meeting place, then settle into your seat for the journey to the Champagne region. During the trip, listen to your passionate guide's informative commentary on your destination, its history, traditions and, of course, its world-famous products.

Make your first stop in the picturesque town of Épernay, home to the the most expensive avenue in the world, the Avenue de Champagne, due to the expensive bottles stored in its underground cellars and visit the ultra-sleek Nicolas Feuillatte House.

After your first Champagne tasting, spend some free time in Épernay; get a lunch spot suggestion from your guide or just wander down the streets lined with stately mansions.

Back on the bus, travel down the scenic Route de Champagne, bound for Hautvillers. Once there, disembark for a guided tour of the village, known as the birthplace of Champagne and the home of a monk named Dom Pérignon. See the Benedictine abbey where he lived and invented the drink at the heart of your tour, as well as his tomb in the local church.

Continue to a family-run boutique estate for a tour of the rolling vineyards and the candle-lit cellars. Learn about the Champagne-making process and taste three different Champagnes produced on the grounds, also home to Veuve Clicquot’s private chateau.

After your tasting of the sublime bubbles, board your climate-controlled coach for the return trip to Paris.

We had the most lovely time on our tour! It was INTERNATIONAL CHAMPAGNE DAY and we celebrated to the full extent!
Must do while in Paris..

Brilliant tour with a fantastic guide. Brad provided a very enjoyable and informative day for our small group. Great stories were told, plenty of Champagne drunk, plus throw in the world's best burger and you would be hard pressed to have a better day out! HIghly recommend.
So much fun!

We were so glad we went! Gorgeous countryside, super informative, so many cool stops and of course great champagne. There was such a great variety of vineyards, quaint French towns and Michelle was wonderful. One of my favorite things we did on our trip across England and France.
A bit different than advertised, but still lovely.

The day in Epernay/Hautvillier was lovely, but, I must admit, I was quite disappointed that they changed our itinerary at the last minute and we did not get to go to Mercier Champagne house. It was the main reason I booked this getaway because we had my two grandsons with us and I thought the electric train ride into the cellars would have been right up their alley. So, that was my main disappointment. Instead they chose to take us to a mass producing vineyard which wasn't as quaint or unique. But, we all made the best of it and it was a gorgeous day outside to be walking in France's champagne region. (Our guide was very friendly and spoke English as she was from Canada.)

This day trip out of Paris in a luxury vehicle to the region of Champagne was relaxing and the scenery beautiful. Laura was our wonderful and cheerful guide with extensive knowledge of the region's history and of the process of Champagne making. We learned a lot on the actual tour of the Champagne houses and found the tastings both educational and very satisfying. It was not crowded at all in the small towns as well as at the Champagne houses which made for a very pleasant trip. The walking was moderate and we felt there was plenty of time to take in the scenery and other details. We highly recommend this tour!
