The Dead Come to Life
CH_B, Dec 2023
A rare and interesting experience, with lots of history and macabre. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour come alive.

Great experience! Our tour guide Leo was very knowledgeable! Really knew her stuff! Had a wonderful time! Thank you!
What an incredible tour!

Leo was a very experienced, and knowledgeable tour guide. Her stories were engaging and really painted a picture of what it was like for Parisians in 1770’s. Leo was patient with children on the tour, and answered every question they had to offer. Whether that was if ghosts are real, to were the bones were fake. I would recommend a tour with Leo any day. Thank you Leo for making this tour so enjoyable.
Great tour

Leo was a wonderfully knowledgeable woman who knew inside stories of the catacombs and their history.
A Scam

The tour guide never showed up. There was no communication from the company. I bought three tickets. The company never responded to emails. I want a refund.
Great Tour!

Our tour guide was so enthusiastic about the subject and very well-informed. Great to share in somebody's passion! The ability to skip the line was crucial! Book ahead. The line wrapped around the block and most would have not gotten in. Also, the tour we took allows you to see parts of the catacombs that non-tour individuals do not get access to.
Amazing totally reccomend

Gabrielle (or Gabriella can't remember sorry) was amazing she told us great information about all the history of the catacombs with pictures and stories. the extra cost for the skip the lines is totally worth it and you get taken to an area that is only for groups. Although the group was fairly big (20 maybe) she made sure that everyone heard her and saw the pictures The only thing was we were told to meet by a station and her sign wasn't very big so we thought we were in the wrong area. Other than that the tour is totally worth it 100% recommend!!
Tour and Tour Guide was great!

Leo was our guide and she was wonderful! She was so knowledgeable and had many interesting facts to share with our group. Any question one of our group members asked, Leo knew the answer. The ability to skip the huge, long line to enter the catacombs was a big plus!
Leo was our guide...

Leo was an amazing guide. Great stories! We really appreciated all the additional pictures and information she brought. The tour was definitely with the time and money. Pre-booking through Viator also saved us from waiting in line for 3-4 hours!

Such a unique and interesting tour! While I cannot remember our guide's name, she was excellent. We highly recommend skip-the-line for this popular tour. Without it, the average wait time is listed as 3 hours! We had 4 children with us ages 10, 11, 12 and 14. The two youngest found it slightly "creepy" but were not actually scared.
Great guide with Gabriela

Enjoyed the information that Gabriela shared with the group. Fascinating details, along with glimpses to fenced off areas.

This tour was amazing!!! Gabrielle our tour guide was prompt and friendly and gave us the absoulute coolest info on the catacombs. If you are planning on taking this tour definitely try and book her. She was the best tour guide we had throughout Paris
Too long and confusing
Aleks_M, May 2019
This “vip” tour was definitely not worth the 250$ we paid. We started pretty late, waited in the rain outside, and had a tour guide who had a very hard time speaking English. Her information was rushed, not explained, and it was exhausting trying to listen to her and decipher what she was trying to say. Most of what she said briefly wasn’t explained because she seemed unable to explain it in English. We ended up just reading the signs provided by the museum itself. Honestly wish we had saved 200$ and gone ourselves with the audio guide. Would have been much more enjoyable!
Fun Tour | Flawed Tour Information
Kathryn_M, May 2019
The tour itself was great, but the meetup information was not. It tells you to arrive 10-15 minutes early and indicates that a representative will be waiting - they will not. It also tells you they will hold up a sign labeled "The Paris Guy" - they will not. Instead of telling you to meet *at* Cafe Oz, it tells you "near the exit to the metro," but you really will meet in the logical place, in front of Cafe Oz, which is a very easy thing to include in the meetup information rather than ambiguously saying "near the exit to the metro." If you followed the directions, arrived early, thought you might be in the wrong ambiguously described meeting location because there is NO representative there at departure time, and called the tour help line - you'd be asked to leave a message and given no emergency number or way to contact your tour guide directly. So you can sit there and panic for a few minutes that you just forced your group to pay for an expensive tour they won't even get to enjoy, before noticing a dude standing quietly with an iPad *facing toward himself, not the crowd of people.* When this happened to us, we saw that the tour guide did indeed have a small logo, again - facing himself, that said "The Tour Guy," not the Paris Guy as indicated in the meeting information. He was late, because his previous tour group had been late. He explained to my group and another who had arrived early, and also panicked due to the lack of tour guide, that the meeting time given *was* the early meeting time, and that they tell people to arrive early to encourage them to arrive even earlier. I and the other people who were walking in circles for 15 minutes trying to figure out how they had missed a guy with a big Paris Guy sign vehemently disagree with this practice. I'm sure there's a cultural issue there regarding punctuality/timing, but the meetup and departure information is confusing. (1) Be honest about when people need to meet and whether to expect a tour guide to be standing there waiting for them (or not because he runs every tour and won't arrive until the previous one concludes). (2) Be clear about the meeting location. Just say "meet in front of Cafe Oz. When our representative arrives, they will stand under one of the trees directly in front of the Cafe." (4) Make your tour guide actually hold up a sign, or even a flag that people can see without being literally right next to him. (5) Provide a way to contact someone directly on the day of the tour.
Wonderful tour!!
Trina_E, May 2019
This tour was fantastic!! Our guide, Leo was amazing and so informative!! This tour was way more than I expected. Highly recommended!!
Do this tour! Mid blowing!!
Sara_H, May 2019
Our tour was with only 4 people so it was like having a private tour with our guild, Leo. She was so informative about not only the history, but also the bones themselves. We loved this tour! No matter the weather it is comfortable and dry in the caves. Don’t miss out...you will never see something like the Catacombs again. Mind-blowing! 🤯
