What To Expect

Your day cruise starts in central Perth, where you hop aboard your boat and set off up the Swan River, a scenic waterway that stretches from the city into Western Australia’s Swan Valley wine region. Enjoy morning tea on board, followed by a wine tasting of premium ‘wines of the month’ from regional vineyards, accompanied by cheese and biscuits.

As you listen to narration about the history and geography of the river and valley, admire views of Perth’s suburbs and the picturesque scenery outside the city. Hop off the boat at Sandalford Estate, to take a winery tour and watch a film presentation before enjoying a wine flight of estate wines. During the tasting session, your 2-course lunch is served so you try the wines with the food to decide which is your favorite to accompany your main course.

Finally, browse the gift shop for souvenirs or purchase any bottles you’d like to take home before reboarding the boat to cruise back to Perth. The return journey includes more wine tastings, as well as afternoon tea with cake and live entertainment. Your cruise ends when you arrive at the departure point. I had read some good reviews of this tour and we werent disappointed! What a great day! From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by Andrew, Alexandra, Colleen and Katherine. Coffee and muffins, followed soon by the wine tasting and cheese board, a lovely cruise down the swan river with Andrews commentary on the high spots. When we arrived at the winery the tour was really interesting, a beautiful place. we had a further flight of 6 lovely wines to taste followed by a wonderful 2 course lunch obviously all this food was necessary to ensure we didnt fall over from all the vino! Back to the cruise and afternoon tea, an open bar and wonderful singing from Katherine and Alex. The team worked really hard throughout the day but were so attentive and friendly. It really made our visit to Perth special and Id recommend the trip to everyone. Thanks so much

Sandalford food and wine experience was very good. The wines on the vessel were less quality. In order to make it ***** the wines would need to upgraded.

Something special for cooler months

We were experiencing heat wave conditions in Perth and imagine our horror to discover that the air conditioning on the boat was not working properly & Captain Cook Cruises were aware of this (as per staff) - had been for some time and it was not fixed! And it was a boat with big glass windows! One of our friends could not catch the boat back as it made her sick on the way to the winery. Despite this the staff on the boat were amazing, the winery was beautiful, food at winery & on boat was superb! Fix the air conditioning Captain Cook Cruises

Visit to Sandleford Winery was excellent - tour, wine tasting and lunch were superb while the relaxing cruise to and from was a perfect into to the region and return. The crew was also excellent, extremely efficient and helpful. Special mention to Myra and lovely singing from Audrey to end the cruise.

We didn’t get to experience the tour because we had to cancel due to unforeseen sadness in the family. We called up and asked for either a refund or reschedule the tour and was told that’s not allowed. I think we could have at least get rescheduled for a later date seeing we paid $450, maybe that could have been an option, thank you

I’m ashamed of you as a company for employing someone who barely speaks English, has no knowledge of any of the places we went to which by the way were extremely rushed. Restaurant selected for lunch was a beach cafe and not something you’d expect going to a winery when there are so many beautiful restaurants! One of the people on tour ended up having to drive the bus back as the poor driver was completely sleep deprived!!! Absolutely shocking trip. Thank goodness we all had a sense of humour and felt sorry for the driver who was clearly put in a situation he shouldn’t have by a company like yourself. For the money we paid it was an absolute rip off. The tour we had the day before was lovely. Yours was shocking.

Enjoyable day out to a very upmarket (Sandalford) all-in-one winery, restaurant, and major concert venue. Seating encourages meeting others and alcohol and the singing crew member meant a great end to the day before ourselves (in our 60s)and three other couples went on to the Lucky Shag bar at the jetty when we disembarked
