- Social Distancing - Guests will stay at a safe 4-foot distance during all points of the tour. We also ensure that all staff members will be wearing the necessary PPE.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

From start to finish our guide was engaged, helpful and informative. Juan weaved in information about the local culture of Playa Del Carmen into the tour between stops providing the delicious food. Make sure you arrive hungry! The food at each location was tasty and was accompanied by an explanation and description of the dish. My group returned to several of the locations after the tour. I would absolutely recommend this tour and any of the other tours Juan offers.

Marcel provided an amazing experience, walking through the streets of Plya Del Carmen. From start to finish Marcel not only shared his knowledge of Mexican cuisine but unique tidbits of culture and mythology as well. Each tasting was delicious and served by gracious hosts at each stop. Walking through the different neighbourhoods and stoping to discuss the different street art and notable monuments, was a great part of the tour as well. We definitely recommend eating with Carmen to anyone looking to experience a taste of amazing local eats and history. Thanks Marcel for an awesome time!!’

What a great time learning about the foods of the Yucatán. Green sausage pictured is not to be missed. Alejandro our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Great evening you’ll be stuffed with amazing food!

Enrique was a wonderful guide!! He had so much information on the history of Playa, the beautiful street art and on the healthy aspects of the food. Oh and the food….it was wonderful!! I had the best tamale ever, fantastic mole (not too hot) and very tasty carnitas. I will definitely suggest this walking tour to everyone!!!

Our guide, Enrique, provided an amazing experience. He was very funny and full of knowledge about the area that he shared with us on our tour. There was so much more amazing food than we could possibly finish - you won't go hungary!

Good tour of Playa del Carmen. I think if they had slipped in a few tequila or mezcals along the way, that would have made things better. Or even the option to get a beer at some point. We got to try some interesting eats, however you end up with a lot of food. Go hungry and with an open mind, try something new - that's part of the fun

Marcel was awesome! Not only did I learn about the amazing food in his history come up, but history about the Mayan culture and the area as well as other parts of Mexico as well. So much more than I bargained for in the best way possible!!

The walking tour took us to places we wouldn’t normally go and the street art was very interesting. The food was authentic and great to taste the street vendors food. The guide was very informative. Gets you to see the authentic side instead if just the tourist side of the area.
