What To Expect

After morning pickup from your Playa del Carmen hotel, travel with your guide to Tulum, a former Maya city perched on a cliff with the Pacific Ocean forming a dramatic backdrop. As you walk through the ruins on a guided tour, imagine the place when it was bustling with the Mayan people as you hear stories and speculations about this interesting city.

Then, enjoy free time to wander about the grounds on your own. Hint: There’s a hidden beach behind the Maya castle at the base of the ruins.

Following Tulum, stop at two cenotes, or natural sinkholes, and explore the impressive caves and ancient rock formations.

Next, continue to Yal Ku Lagoon for snorkeling and wade into an estuary, where freshwater from the underground rivers combines with saltwater from the sea to create an environment teeming with aquatic life. The shallow rock-reefs in the area provide an ideal location for snorkeling.

Your day tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel.

Unique experience
SCOTT_E, Feb 2024
The cenote was a great unique experience. The only downside is not able to take your own pics. Guides were great.
Nothing special
Aymen_A, Feb 2024
The staff is amazing but nothing special we spend all the time in the car and we didn’t saw animals or something amazing it can be better
Fun Day
Joshua_B, Feb 2024
Lucas and Herardo were excellent! The photo package at the center was ridiculously overpriced, don't bother.
Mexican highlights in half a day
Robert_F, Feb 2024
Having our tour guide Gabby explain some of the history gave more meaning to what we were seeing at Tulum. Touring the cenotes while swimming was a unique experience. We saw many fish while snorkeling in the lagoon--more than I have seen on many other snorkeling excursions. The lunch at the beach restaurant was very good.
Great adventure!

JJ was very knowledgeable guide. It was a well scheduled tour. Sites were amazing. The center and snorkeling were very memorable.
Efficient tour with several highlights in only 7-8 hours!

Packed but efficient tour with several highlights. Good time at Tulum ruins both with guide and on your own. Stops at cenote and lagoon for snorkeling at both spots. Activities done fast but did not feel to stressfull. Last stop at their own beach club was nice and relaxing. Tacos or other mexican food for lunch, which was nice but average.
Great value, beautiful nature & cultural experience!

We had the best time exploring tulum and the cenote! It was a wonderful experience. The snorkeling was at this gorgeous lagoon and ending the day at the private beach club was great. We loved the vibe there and the food was good! The value, quality of the places, and our awesome tour guide Santiago made it a memorable experience. We got back on time around 4 pm and still had time to relax and enjoy the evening. Highly recommend! Just a warning that the roads are very bumpy so if you get motion sickness definitely come prepared.
Had a blast

What a fun trip, my husband & I had a blast. Our guide Paula was amazing & very knowledgeable. Luna our driver was great, friendly & efficient. There was water & snacks provided the whole trip & lunch at the beach club at the end was pretty good. ( real lunch, not a sandwich like on past excursions we have done) We did the tulum rune, cenote & lagoon snorkeling. It was a lot of fun & would book through Cancun adventures again. Thank you for the great memories ❤️
A great day!

We had an amazing time with our guide Omar and driver Ezequiel! We would definitely do another trip with Cancun Adventures. The cenote was stunning and unlike any place I've ever been before, just know that you are not allowed to bring in anything with you so you cannot take your own photos. The lagoon we visited was gorgeous and full of fish and birds. Finally we were very pleasantly surprised by the beach lunch as we were expecting something very basic. They had delicious tacos, burritos and ceviche and an absolutely gorgeous private location with lots of comfortable places to relax after our meal. They do discourage using sunscreen as the cenotes and lagoons are all connected and are the main water sources for the area so it is a good idea to bring a rash guard to help protect you from the sun while snorkeling.
The cenotes were...

The cenotes were incredible. Our tour guid Emanuel Corona was incredible! I would highly recommend asking for him specifically as we saw several other guides and they were very lack luster compared to him.
Great sites!
Patrick_V, Jan 2024
We loved all the stops on the trip. Please note we were picked up at 640 am and the lunch was at 330. So plan ahead. There was the opportunity to get food at the Tulum site, but nothing you wanted to spend time at the site rather than outside at the vendors.
Don’t miss this amazing adventure
Allyson_S, Jan 2024
This tour was great! The cave cenote was the absolute best part of the day with the Tulum ruins a close second. The only downside was a van was a little small and the ride was very bumpy at times. However, Evelyn was a great tour guide!
Fun!
Kara_F, Jan 2024
Tulum was fun to see, the cenote was great, lagoon was amazing! Guides were fun. They could have provided more information on the ride to/from, but we had a blast.
Awesome day
Naomi_J, Jan 2024
Great day! All the stops were wonderful. My 15 year old loved it. Cenote was her favorite and first time snorkling.
Great way to experience Mexico
Mary_M, Jan 2024
My husband and I loved this excursion and are so glad we went. We felt safe with our guide, Mar, and experienced a full day of exploring parts of Mexico. My suggestion for families considering going on this excursion, make sure each member of the family is a good swimmer. We often were held back by small children or elders from a family who joined our group, which meant our guide had to modify what she was doing to help them more. Along with that, each location we went to had ancient history behind it where it was necessary to show respect for the area and wildlife around us. The young children in our group were disrespectful picking up things they shouldn’t, touching things they shouldn’t, screaming, etc. We would absolutely do this excursion again in a heartbeat, preferably bringing our own large group of friends so we don’t have strangers in the group.
Thoroughly enjoyed

Our guide, CE, was great! Very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. The driver was safe and competent. Each stop was well organized and a great way to cram a lot in to a little time!
Incredible experience!
Rachana_N, Dec 2023
Lucas was an excellent, engaging and thoroughly entertaining guide. He was thoughtful and very helpful for inexperienced swimmers as he helped them wade through the cenotes and snorkeling experiences. Juan and Omar made great supporting to cast to this out and out wonderful tour!! Highly recommended.
Great way to see a lot
Cheri_M, Dec 2023
Though it seemed like it might be crowded, it wasn’t. Very enjoyable!! My husband said it hit a bucket list item he did not know he had.
Great day filled with culture and fun
Yanhui_L, Dec 2023
This is a very fun trip filled with the key activities of Cancun that fits our short schedule, giving us more time to relax in hotel. The driver was very friendly. He reminded us to bring towels and waited for us patiently when picking us up. Our tour guide was Locus. He was very professional. He is very knowledgeable and caring. Our trip was delayed due to the traffic, but our fun was not shortened. The driver and the our guide spent extra time with us and made sure we had a fun day.
