See Portland like a local—by bicycle—with this guided tour. Your guide will take you on an eight- to 11-mile ride through town, past beautiful neighborhoods filled with flowers and across the river via the pedestrian- and bicycle-only Tilikum Bridge towards downtown, with a stop at a local donut shop for some sugary fuel along the way.

I loved this tour. It was so much more than I expected. A perfect way to see the city. Kelly was so friendly and knew exactly how to navigate the area. The cherry blossoms were blooming and we loved getting to bike right up to them. We hope to go back and do it again when the roses are blooming!

Wonderful Biking Trip in Portland

I had a fantastic time with this experience. I signed up for the biking trip on a weekend visit to Portland. As I arrived, there was a public parking lot nearby, making it easy to drop off my car and head to the tour start. When I arrived, Kelly (my tour guide) greeted me warmly and offered a large selection of helmets for me to choose from. She also noticed I had uncovered hands and offered me gloves to take on the trip -- they were most definitely needed. We then biked around several areas, taking in the different neighborhoods, street art, parks, bridges, etc. We periodically stopped (not too frequently, nor too infrequently) and Kelly would talk through the history of the area in question. I enjoyed getting to take in not just the sights, but the history of people and events that shaped Portland into what it is today. In the middle of our trip, we stopped at an excellent coffee shop for a break. The tour lasted three hours and we biked approximately 10 miles. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip! I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys biking and wants to get a guided introduction to Portland in a short period of time.

I can't say enough good things about this tour! My teenage son and I had such an amazing time! It's a great way to see the city and learn about some of the culture. It started raining a little during our tour and even that couldn't stop us from having fun. 10/10 would 1000% recommend!

Wow- what a fun morning! Kelly and Phillipo were fantastic, and treated us all as friends. They looked after our every need, and were just kind and real, and so knowledgeable about Portland. I love that they weren't just showing us landmarks. They offered an honest look at some of Oregon's past and present, that was thought provoking and added meaning to what we were experiencing. A+ entirely!

Kelly gave us an amazing tour. She was thoughtful, informative, and friendly. Bikes were very comfortable and light. Plenty of helmet options. Lots of art, history, portland-only info, gardens, and bridges on this tour. Ice cream shops are optional if desired. Highly recommend this tour! I would do it again if I had more time. Thanks for a great Portland experience!

Our bike tour was absolutely fantastic! Kelly was such a positive and knowledgeable guide. She showed us so many amazing highlights of Portland, including rose gardens, greenways, bridges, poetry on the waterfront, murals, and tasty donuts too! The bikes worked perfectly, and cycling around together was joyful. The time passed so quickly and yielded many striking memories. 100% enjoyed and highly recommended!

Disorganized and late start to 1:30 tour. The guide knew very little about Portland and the various places we stopped. He was reading facts off his phone (and not very well). We rode very little and stopped for far too long various places. Took us to an ice cream store where we had to pay! He talked while riding so unless you were right next to him you couldn’t hear. Again, his stopped “lectures” were very poor. He was a nice kid but just not up to this job. It was lint worth the $60 I laid nor the time it took. Viator needs to vet these companies much more carefully.

If you had reached out directly or said anything to us during your stay, we would have offered you an alternate tour. I would appreciate also remembering that there is a human here who is doing his best to learn and probably is not feeling great right now about this review. The tour does not include any ice cream or other treats and we do mention this in the tour information. You are not required to purchase any snacks. Lots of guests mention the ice cream and doughnuts as their favorite part. Our crew of guides has some very seasoned individuals and some younger ones; we have a period in each guide's career where they are learning, and some curves are steeper than others. I hope that future guests can find sympathy for the inevitable development process in every guide's career.

The bike tour was really fun and easy. The guide was very informative and had a great personality. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would do it again. We got great exercise and saw a lot of Portland first hand. Recommended.
Comfortable bikes and pleasant guide

Riding across the Tilikum Bridge was the highlight of the day. We also enjoyed learning about the Japanese memorial. My only critique is that the long ride east seemed far to only go see a optional pastry and donut shop. It seemed like not the best use of time without visiting any sights or learning about the eastside neighborhoods. However, the guide was very pleasant and accommodating.

As a local perhaps you don’t enjoy seeing the neighborhoods but that is really a huge bonus for most of our out-of-town visitors, like your French exchange student and the other guests that day. I think you may have missed some of the description of the neighborhoods when one of your great teens decided to take a detour; I guess your kiddo’s comfort level on the bike made it a little harder for you to appreciate the route decisions we made! Hopefully others who are sticking with the guide will have a better experience.

Our tour guide Austin was very informative and prepared. It was the sites themselves felt a little underwhelming for me on this tour. There is some important historical pieces that should remain however that was very valuable.
