What To Expect

Visit the top attractions in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in this full day of exploration just outside of Portland. In the morning enjoy unparalleled scenic views from Portland Women’s Forum and Vista House, then gaze in wonder at towering waterfalls. For lunch, explore charming downtown Hood River where the historic buildings are filled with boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries, and more than 30 restaurants. In the afternoon visit two vineyards in the Columbia Gorge AVA where the beauty of the landscape is inextricable from its allure as a world class wine region. Wines produced from this region tend to be riper than wines from Oregon’s cooler, western regions and with higher acidity and structure than what occurs naturally in the warmer, eastern AVAs. Discover the postcard-perfect scenery and great wines of the Columbia River Gorge during this day trip from Portland.

A Weather-Filled Adventure
minimemo01, Mar 2024
We booked the tour at the last minute, and they were very accommodating. Phil was very informative. Overall, the experience was great. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see Mt. Hood due to the weather, but it was amazing to experience cloudy, rainy, sunny, and snowy weather all in one day.

Columbia Gorge Wine and waterfalls
Jenifer_B, Aug 2019
This day long tour of waterfalls and wineries was everything we hoped it would be. Angela our guide/driver was friendly and attentive and the scenery was spectacular. And we tasted some pretty good wine too.
A beautiful day!

Wonderful all day (9 hour) small group tour with excellent guide. Lots of information, and no fuss access to waterfalls, scenic lookouts and two nice wineries. Lunch on our own, but multiple recommendations so we got to choose what we liked best.
Beautiful and relaxing trip
Benjamin_E, May 2019
Absolutely wonderful day, just the two of us with our very nice guide Kerry. She took us on a slow ride through the forest to see waterfalls, then added in a trip further up the gorge to see wild flowers, before taking us to two very good wineries. The first, Viento, was excellent. Kerry made this feel like a private tour, helped us understand this area of Oregon much better, and gave us a great day out. Thanks!
Gallivanting in the Gorge

This was an amazing tour! My group was the only one on the trip which made it very customized and personalized. It was the right amount of time and our tour guide was fantastic!
This was a great tour. Our guide...
Gary R, Nov 2017
This was a great tour. Our guide Marcus was very knowledgeable about the geography of the area. We even went to an extra waterfall that wasn't on the official itinerary. The wineries were all very welcoming, and the wines were good also. We got lucky, and had a small group 5 including us. The only negative was that this was the time when there were forest fires in British Columbia, and the smoke was drifting south. This really affected the views of the valley, but this was no reflection on the tour. I feel like we got a lot of tour for the money.
