Excellent Puerto Plata City Tour & Cable Car

It was 9 of us (siblings) on this tour. Fabio, the tour&driver guide was excellent. We experienced cable car, walked through Botanical garden with lots of beautiful flowers insight, stopped by umbrellas street, Pink street, Pedro Catholic Church, Larimar, Embrose stores, and Marcorix Rum factory. Loaded places to visit. We thouroughly enjoyed this tour. This tour is Anthony’s company. Anthony did well in selecting guide. Rated is excellent overall.

Basic tour of Puerto Plata.

Teleferic is the best. Rum and chocolate factories are just waste of time and tourist traps while more time needed to visit the fort, and old city. The tour guide, Franklin was super nice person that was following the schedule with a very nice and confortable van. Overall the tour is overpriced but ofer some basics of the city in a very limited time.

Puerta Plata and Mt Isabel for the win!

We loved riding the cable car up to Mount Isabel de Torres. It was beautiful up there. We had great weather and clear skies. We also got to see other highlights in Puerto Plata like the pink street, umbrella street, Fortaleza San Felipe, etc.. The tour was exactly as it is written. Our guide, Nathan, was great. He was communicative the day of so we could find him easily. And the tour company was also very helpful and communicative ahead of time to answer questions and assist when we had to change our tour date. Some of the visits like the chocolate factory and rum factory are a little salesy (but not pressuring), and that is to be expected. The locals rely on tourism. We did get some chocolate! I would definitley recommend.

Received a text almost immediately after booking confirming pickup time, guide was on-time, very professional and knowledgeable. Very interesting to see the city of Puerto Plata, pink street, umbrella street etc. It was worth it alone for the cable car though.. there was a massive line as it was a Sunday and many of the locals were there, but thanks to our guide we were able to skip the entire line and entered the cable car basically as soon as we got there. wish we would have spent a bit more time at the Fort of San Felipe but other than that, 10/10!

Mr. Fabio was a great guide. Cable car was a great experience. Walking around the area by the cave was a great experience seeing different foliage avd flowers. Seeing Umbrella Street was great. Visiting the Lorimar jewelry factory and purchased a bracelet for my girlfriend. A great tour.

The entire experience was great from the booking right down to the drop off after the tour. When I made the booking, the hotel my fiancee and I were staying at was not listed as one of the pick up locations, so we reached out and Anthony quickly made the accommodations to change the pickup point. On the day of the tour, Fabio was amazing! He was funny, knowledgeable and easy to chat with. He made sure to engage with every single person in our small group and really made us feel like family.

The email instructions as to where to meet the tour guide once we got off of the ship in Puerto Plata could have been better with more specific directions. Found our guide almost by accident. The other people on the tour were told to be out at 9am so we lost 50 minutes waiting for them. Our guide (Nathan) was more of a driver than a guide. Our tour was very rushed. We saw everything that the tour advertised but really had no time to really experience them before we had to leave. When we stopped Nathan would tell us where we were but gave us very little details of the sites. The cable car to the top of mountain was broken so we never experienced this part. The tour owner did reimburse us $20 per person as compensation. Sorry but I would not recommend this tour if asked.

Had great day with Nathan from Anthony tours. The minivan was comfortable, he made sure we had water and he showed us the City. The highlights were the cable car to the mountain top and the beautiful shoreline. Anthony did a very good job communicating including the night before and the morning of our tour. Great job guys

Nice few hours in the city

The tour operator kept excellent communication so we knew who our driver would be, where to go and included his photo. We were the only ones on our tour which made it extra nice. Our driver Fabio was waiting for us with a sign with our name on it, the mini van was air conditioned and comfortable. The rum factory was interesting and reasonably priced, the amber museum was different, not bad just different. Fabio drove us through various areas explaining the culture and daily life. The cable car was out of order so we didn’t get to do that part so Fabio refunded that portion of our money. We visited Umbrella St, Pink Alley and the Fort. All and all it was a very laid back nice day.
