Highly recommend this booking, my wife and I were picked up in a van with ice cold a/c. For the price you can not beat it, you get to see a coffee/cocoa plantation, an old style house, basilica, downtown market, cigar shop with great cigars and great prices.

Will (out tour guide) and Kevin (our driver) did an amazing job. The sites we visited were interesting and gave us an opportunity about more of the D.R. Culture. Will has great knowledge of the Dominican and is a lot of fun. Also, a really good tour if you’re visiting DR on a shorter trip, we were picked up at 9a and were back at 1p.

My wife and I went with Pablo yesterday! We had so much fun. We’d highly recommend him as a tour guide. He answered tons of questions, showed us around, and made us feel safe at every stop. We really loved the cigar factory and the cocoa bean stop. Bring enough cash for locals!

Exploring the Dominican culture

Must do trip if you like to explore the culture and country. Our guide, Joel was friendly and knowledgeable. We started the trip shopping at the local market. Next was a visit to one of the local farm houses experiencing thier daily activities. Visit to the tobacco factory was fun as we got to roll and smoke cigars. The La Basilica church is beautiful. Finally a stop at the Macau beach were you can enjoy some fresh coconut water. Beware of the vendors trying to sell stuff. Overall, a great experience connecting to the local culture.

What a great time. Pablo was our guide and he was very hospitable and knowledgable. The tour was varied and I felt like I got a good sampler of the culture. Would recommend.

Pablo was a wonderful guide and the tour was the highlight of our trip. We appreciate the little things he did to make it more personable such as buying us habichuelas con dulce. 100% recommend. We skipped the beach, but you can use that time to find somewhere else or spend more time at one of the stops

Half day tour - nice but can be optimized

Nice trip, enjoyed the coffee, cocao Plants and the local house. The basilica in Hygüen was quite unique in architecture and interesting to see. Ww felt the stop at Macao beach is a waste of time and can be skipped. Just crowds of people and souvenir-booths trying to sell a lot of stuff nobody needs.

We were lucky that day and were the only Tourists on our tour. Pablo, our guide, did a great job showing us around and teaching us about the Dominican culture. He was very friendly and answered every question. It was a perfect experience.

Joel did a great job showing us everything on the tour. His English is very well and he’s a good driver. When booking id recommend asking for him. The highlight of the trip for me was the cigar factory tour. My wife enjoyed the visit to the traditional Dominican home.

Wonderful tour

I really enjoyed this tour. We saw typical Dominican house, a cocoa bean farm, a cigar shop where we received complimentary cigars and got to roll our own cigar. Finally we went to Macao beach. The beach was beautiful and there were opportunities to take a picture with a monkey and iguana. Pablo was a great guide! He made sure we got a genuine experience of the Dominican culture. He bought deserts and Dominican fruits for us to try which we really enjoyed. That was an unexpected treat. He was extremely amiable in conversation. And he explained everything on the tour very well and used easy to understand Spanish words. He also drove well and we felt safe at all times. Pablo was very accommodating to our needs. When we left our bathing suits at the Airbnb he gladly went back for them and when we wanted food Pablo helped us order food to eat. Overall I read a great time, I got a real experience of Dominican culture and getting the private tour was worth it

This was a really fun day! We were the only two in the group. Joel was our driver. He was terrific! He speaks English well. He really enjoys his job. He was great friends with everyone we visited. He took us to as many places as possible and spent as much time as we wanted to spend in each area. He was very knowledgeable about the culture. Be sure to bring some money to tour the church. $10 plus tip for a private tour. Well worth it because the tour guide took amazing pictures of us. Note: This excursion is more fun if you speak spanish.

Driver was very courteous, interesting, and helpful. Pickup was on time, good communication. Tour was very interesting, especially the plantation where we got to see how cocoa and coffee were made, and received samples. I highly recommend this tour.

Driver was excellent, informative, helpful, interesting, we really enjoyed the plantation tour and tobacco factory was interesting, nobody was pushy at all. I would recommend taking some small gifts for the children. We loved this private tour, and highly recommend.

Our tour was awesome, and so reasonably priced. Our driver (Marques?) and our guide Manny were fantastic. Manny was so full of knowledge it made the trip so interesting and we learned so much about the DR. We always felt safe and never felt any pressure to buy from the places we visited. I would highly recommend this tour! Make sure you request Manny!
