What To Expect

Meet at the BSI Bus Terminal, where you’ll board a climate-controlled vehicle destined for your first stop—the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park.

Explore the site in your vehicle, stopping to capture photographs of the park’s striking landscapes and listening to history-rich commentary that dates back to 93 AD. Then, proceed to a geothermal area named Geysir Geyser to watch powerful streams of water emerge from the earth’s molten core.

From here, you’ll travel to the Langjökull glacier to embark on a snowmobile adventure. Before boarding your vehicle, receive a detailed safety briefing from your instructor and don the necessary protective equipment. Two to a snowmobile, you’ll ascend to the glacier’s summit and enjoy panoramic views of Iceland’s striking scenery.

Exhilarated, return to your vehicle and make your final stop at Gullfloss Waterfall, a staggering waterfall originating from a glacial lake. Capture sufficient photographs of the natural wonder and then relax during the journey back to your original departure point in Reykjavik.

Our guide, Stefan, did a great job and went out of his way to make sure we got the most out of every stop. Good mix of interesting information and a little humor. Snowmobiling was a great time. Lots of beautiful sights to see on this trip.

Absolute Must Do

This was by far the best tour we took in Iceland. I’d heard it was a must do and the reviews weren’t wrong. The bus size and group were small, our tour guide Albert was amazing providing just enough interesting facts but not too many to overload you. The big thing to note is to layer. While the Golden Circle spots may be fairly warm, the glacier is cold and windy. Once you start whipping the snowmobile around, it gets even colder. Our only issue was we seemed to have a defective snowmobile that for the first 25 minutes repeatedly stalled and we held up the line, or people went around us. During the first break I reported the issue, the guides drove it around and saw the issue and gave us one of their snowmobile. While the issue was resolved quickly, we never should have left with that initial machine. It stalled before we even started off. One of the guides just put his thumb on the lever and waited until it took off. I asked him are we good and he said yes… but we actually stalled out seconds later and repeatedly over the next 25 minutes. It was a very rough, jerky ride. That all changed in the last 25 minutes when we were issued a new machine. Such a smooth ride. Like night and day. Apart from that, everything else was top notch. 10/10!

Great Reykjavik excursion

After a shaky start with some confusion by another group doing Golden Circle only as to where pick up was, we got back on track albeit almost an hour late. The excursion was extremely good great guide in Leifur and good driver Harold's. Gullfoss waterfall was fabulous and the Geysir. The snowmobile was gear fun as was the journey up to the Glacier. Thoroughly recommend this excursion.

Great trip

Early start and a long day but great overall! Initially booked the Golden Circle without the snowmobile but changed to this one and pleased we did! The snowmobiling was great! Wrap up as it can get quite cold and would recommend taking a sandwich/drink with you. Our guide was brilliant and kept us informed all day and provided us information about Iceland as we travelled.

Snowmobiles we’re amazing!!

This tour was great! The bus picked us up right on time, the instructions to get to the bus were clear and understandable. We had a great time seeing the sights, but the best part of this tour hands down is the snowmobiles. This was an absolutely amazing and phenomenal experience. You are on the top of glacier just surrounded by untouched snow and land. It feels like you’re in the clouds!! I was so moved to be able to experience that and I highly highly recommend it!!

The coach was pretty comfortable and our guide was very informative so the first drive felt pretty quick. We had around an hour to spend at the Geyser and 30 minutes for the other stops which is more than enough time to take in the environment as well as getting a good amount of pictures and videos. The truck to the glacier was actually fairly smooth, but we were bounced off our seats a fair bit on the way back ha! Snowmobiling was very fun. It mainly consisted of following in a line for 30 minutes before taking a little break to play around in the snow, take some pictures and switch drivers for the last half an hour. I often slowed down to let the people in front get some distance, this allowed us and the snowmobile behind us to break up the pace and speed up a little bit every now and again. A very fun and memorable experience overall!

Snowmobiling and the ride up to the base camp was indescribable. To go from a paved road to a non paved snow covered road in a vehicle designed just for this trek was unbelievable.

Absolutely fantastic! Wasn’t entirely sure on what to expect.. however, this trip was without a doubt one if not the best trip I had been on! Plenty of places to visit and explore with access to huge cafeterias, toilets and shops each stop. The tour guide was hilarious and extremely informative and the snow mobiling was honestly a dream made. I was sceptical about this; as I had no idea what to expect! However it’s all safe, 2 per snow mobile whereby you follow the tour guide on top of the snowy mountain. It is a very long day so I do recommend bringing snacks for the coach etc and some earphones should you want to nap on the way back.

It was great, there were lots of locations that we went to, with the Geysers being my personal favorite part of the experience. The snowmobiling was lots of fun as well. There was a lot of driving, but it was worth it.
