This is such an incredible and unique tour. It's the only one on Viator/Tripadvisor that offers the Hussafell Canyon Baths - as they are on private property and not easily accessible to tourists. BUT UNFORGETTABLE! Our guide Olie was funny, smart and clearly loves his country, which really enhanced the day. Being in the canyon baths is truly remarkable. It beats all the other lagoon/spring/hot bath experiences in Iceland.

Fantastic trip with a super interesting guide!

We had a fab day out with Bjarki (Bear)! He told us lots of interesting facts and told us about the stories he learned as a child growing up in Iceland! At the different stops he came out and showed us to the different places and told us about the different things we could see! It was a super fun trip and we’d highly recommend. The canyon baths were stunning! Just 9 of us in total with Anna, we felt we could’ve had a little longer in the canyon baths as we only had around an hour once we met with the guide and then walked to the pools & changed. But again it was a lovely way to relax and enjoy after a day of exploring!

It is about 10 flights of stairs down to the canyon baths. This is not mentioned anywhere. I was not able to participate due to my medical conditions. I requested a refund and haven’t heard back from the tour company.

Dear Christa, we did reply to your refund request on Oct 4th, the morning after you sent it. Every person can have his or her opinion on what is a difficult exercise. We have had children from the of 5 up to senior citizens in their 80´s do this tour without any problem and the reason is that it does NOT require guests to be "extremely physically fit to participate" as you chose to describe it. If your medical condition - which you did not disclose before taking the tour and we therefore had no idea about - prevents you from walking down 60 steps of stairs (not 10 flights of stairs) then you should probably either refrain from taking outdoor tours or at the very least inquire about them on beforehand to check if you medical condition will allow you to participate in full. You are of course entitled to express your opinion of the tour as "terrible" and award it a 1-star rating - but we really hope that anyone reading this review will also take the time to read some of the many, many positive reviews our guests have been kind enough to post.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Silver Circle tour. It was very different to the Golden Circle tour and focused more on the history of Iceland. Our tour guide Alfred was absolutely brilliant. We enjoyed our dip in the canyon baths. Really a great way to end the day.

What a unique experience

We enjoyed the whole day with a great guide who drove our small group to wonderful waterfalls and thermal waters and lunch but the highlight was the Canyon Baths. Most of our small group went to the caves but we were dropped off where a new guide, Olguín Helgi, escorted us to another waterfall and then drove to the edge of the canyon where we walked down about seventy steps to the baths. The five of us had the place to ourselves. We sat in the baths with a beer as the sun set and listened to Olguín explain the geology. An amazing setting! We were picked up by original guide for trip home!
