Good tour for the price

Nice tour. Had three 10 minute stops for pictures. Didn’t get off, but they positioned so you could get some nice pictures. Unfortunately, when some people got up to take photos, other guests stole there seats. Even leaving a bag behind didn’t protect the seats while you got up for a minute. Tour operator could sell marked seats to fix this problem.

See the city from Guanabara Bay

We loaded the double decker boat with approximately 28 people and there was room on top for everyone. There’s a snack bar for drinks or snacks on the lower level (also seating but no one sat down there.) We motored around the bay, looking at different sites including the large bridge, the museum of tomorrow, and the smaller city across the bay from Rio. The audio explanations were in English and some other language in addition to Portuguese. It took about 90 minutes and was basically as expected but didn’t knock my socks off. It’s a nice way to see the city from the water. Take a jacket as it gets very windy. The music was too loud (and I’m not that old.) The best part was the skyline during the actual sunset.

Good trip to see the sights from the water, but trip is 1.5 hours not 2 as listed. Boat turned up late at 11.05 and then by the time they had people board, and did the safety talk, there is only l1.5 hours left. Also people stand up all the time while the boat is moving so they block the view.

I chose the sunset tour as it fit in with my arrival time and looked like a good way to get a overall view of Rio. I was not disappointed! The directions were clear and everything happened on time. There had been a mix up as to whether I was doing the morning or evening tour and that made no difference - they accepted me for the evening tour regardless and without hassle - very nice tour rep on the boat who was attentive to my questions. The tour itself was just the right length and relaxing - perfect if you have had a long flight and are arriving at mid-day. Plus, the price was right! Audio was in Portuguese and English. I highly recommend this tour.

Avoid this cruise, it is unreliable and may waste your time.

Avoid at all costs. We turned up to be told it was cancelled even though viator had confirmed it 24 hours before. It's in an isolated spot so long walk to get a taxi and waste yet more valuable time in Rio. Unreliable supplier, best avoided.
