      Great option!

What would've taken us 2 1/2 to 3 hours only took 10 minutes! Yes, you go in another line, but it was honestly less than 10 minutes! Walking around the building and seeing the long lines of people waiting to enter the Vatican was discouraging until you use this service. We would definitely do it again.
Change the name of this tour.

This was a real disappointment. Instead of "Skip the Line," they should call this "Get In The Line," which is what we did. My wife and I visited the Vatican Museum on our honeymoon, and were looking forward to sharing that experience with our son. This was basically a $100 mark-up on top of the actual cost of the museum tickets. What did we get? Not really sure. A guide brought us to the line, and while he did stay until the entire group was inside, we really didn't need a guide. I was expecting we were going to "skip the line," but, we didn't, and simply waited along with everyone else. Caveat emptor.
      I received a phone call...
      MariaConceio_C, Apr 2024
I received a phone call saying that the time of the visit had been shifted 2 hours. I asked for an email stating that. I was told that I would receive the information by SMS. I did not receive it, so me and my family went to the ticket office at the original time thinking that it could have been a scam. It turns out that the visit had indeed been postponed and we lost 2 hours scrolling around to spend time.
      Thumbs up

Claudio did a great job, but it was very busy and congested. Hard to keep together. We lost one of our party members, luckily she caught up and was able to enter St. Peter's. Claudio was very knowledgeable. Company was a little disorganized, but they came through in the end.
      No skipping the line

While the Vatican deserves several days to try and see everything, we paid to skip the line and we waited in the line, so I don't know what line we were supposed to skip. While it was true we didn't have to wait in line to purchase tickets and the guide did, we were told to just hang out in front of the ticket booth while the guide waited. Also be careful when you purchase tickets, we thought we did skip the line with a guided tour, but the guide pointed us up the steps and left. Apparently we did not purchase the correct ticket.
      SCAM
      Samantha_M, Nov 2023
Complete waste of money. Total scam. Tickets are MORE than double what you can just get at the ticket counter. And it takes longer to finally freaking get in. Don’t give these scammers your money
      Don’t bother
      cath_S, Nov 2023
Chaotic and underwhelming. There were loads of people milling around in the office. None of them seemed to know what was happening Eventually they walked us up to the museum, handed over the tickets and scarpered
      Worth every penny

Brilliant service, definitely worth it to skip the queues and enter the Vatican with no hassle… friendly guide took us past the huge queues and inside, gave a map and then we were left to roam the Vatican at our own pace
      Really lovely experience

Great time at the Vatican Museum thanks to Viator. My thanks to the team I met in Rome, they looked after me and my family so well
      Grand Tour

Wonderful experience, seeing many of the greatest objects and art of humanity. This tour is highly recommended.
      Very well

Sistine Chapel. The entire museum was very interesting. Great experience. Well run by tour people. Would reccomend this tour to my other friends.
      Excellent Value!
      Lorena_F, Oct 2023
This Skip-the-Line to the Vatican Museums service was very good value! The agents were all very polite and approachable. I just wanted to suggest that it is very easy to get lost in the crowds on the street. Perhaps the agents could use a flag or something to identify them more easily. I would recommend this activity to my friends. Thank you.
      Would not book again
      KatieKuester, Oct 2023
This is fine if you are in need of last minute tickets and you really want to go into the Vatican. I would skip it if you’re not that into art - way too many people! Also just know that they buy the tickets for about $17 and sell them for about double the price, but again, if you are in desperate need of last minute tickets, it’s fine.
      No Brainer!
      George_B, Oct 2023
While thousands, if not 10's of thousands of people stood in an endless line that wrapped all of St Peter's Square and out into the streets of Rome... in the hottest part of the day, we skipped the line and went straight to security and into the Vatican Museum. If you plan to visit the Vatican, do yourself a favor and get SKIP THE LINE tickets. You're already going to be standing in an endless line inside the museum... for hours... with no break from the heat and humidity. Why do you want to wait in an endless line OUTSIDE the museum... for hours... in the sun? Save yourself 3 hours of your life and possible heatstroke!
      Delivered, interesting, easy
      Jared_E, Oct 2023
Exactly what it said on the tin. Straight in past thousands of people in the queue. No guide, which in my opinion was a blessing. Bought the audio for ourselves and went at our pace.
      NOT HELPFUL WHEN NEEDED
      Hugo_M, Sep 2023
we missed a flight and showed it to the person in charge and they had the worst attitude and not helpful
Well organised and smooth pickup of tickets
      Mohammad_S, Sep 2023
Skip the line tickets easy to pick up and was guided to the entrance where we could then make our own way in. Well organised.
      Too crowded to enjoy
      Luis_T, Sep 2023
Let me start my saying the Sistine Chapel was beautiful, BUT it was so crowded we couldn't enjoy it at all. It was pretty miserable. If you're not one for crowds, try going during an off season or slower day (if that's possible). If the Sistine Chapel is your goal, go straight to it, cut through everything else. You won't be able to stop and see anything anyway. If there is a way to just go see the Chapel and only the Chapel- that's the way to go.
      Great experience, very...
      Troy_L, Aug 2023
Great experience, very easy to find the location to pick up the tickets and skipped the queue immediately.
      Visit excellent, tour operator scammer
      Sanal_P, Aug 2023
The tour of Vatican itself was one of the most memorable events in life. No complaints there. The problem was this particular tour operator ('Visit In Italy') that I booked through Viator. I took skip-the-line 3:30 booking and arrived they asked to come at 3:15 and then again at 3:30. At the 3:30 the regular group with tour guide left. We were asked to wait and were told that they had to clear some security issues. Long story short, we had to wait extra 20, go through regular line (no skip) and no tour guide all this for paying extra. If you are planning to use this operator, do it on your own risk. Thanks Sanal
      Response from Host, Aug 2023
Sorry for your inconvenience but you didn’t book for a guide so as you have only tickets and if there is security check line everybody have to wait a bit for that as per Vatican rule.. Still we are sorry for your inconvenience!
