  • The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour, you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 15 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
  • If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.
  • Knees & Shoulders MUST be covered for both men & women to enter the Sistine Chapel!
  • All visitors must pass through the monument/attraction security check please allow at least 20 minutes to clear security.
  • Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
  • Students booking a reduced ticket must have a photo ID, you must bring a photo ID to be allowed into the monument.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

You do skip the main line but you will still wait in a line for skipping the line. Still etter than waiting for hours.

When we went to check in, we were offered to join an English tour. Not expensive and totally worth it. Our guide Christina was fun, informative and assertive; which is what you need in this place. She had sneaky little spots for us to congregate and share knowledge, which somewhere went missed by other guides. As a fellow art nerd, I found her enthusiasm and insight into the artwork and the history fascinating.

It was not worth the price. Our tour guide literally ditched us when we got to the line and we had to follow some random girl with a flag to the front. And still we had to wait in a long line for 1 hour maybe even longer. Me and my family got soaking wet because our tour guide didn’t know how to get things organized. 1 star for you.

This was exactly as described. We were escorted with a group inside the Vatican Museum. There were so many people it was the right choice and we were happy not to wait in the ticket line. Once inside you are on own to explore the museum and Sistine Chapel. This does not provide access to the Basilica.

Skip the line was a game changer, definitely recommend as the ques to get in were long. Once inside we made our own way around and I would recommend the cafe in the courtyard. Good food choices and not as expensive as I was expecting being inside the museum.

This one was tough. Part of it was our fault because traffic was so into Vatican. We ended up running five minutes late. We could not find any sign that said Viator although we had the correct address. We kept hunting for a sign so that made us 10 minutes late. Once we got back to number 16, the gentleman talked us into an upgraded guided tour. That was as a good idea… yet the lady leading it was challenging. I know it is a very tough job to heard cats through a crowd, but her demeanor was unpleasant and fussy. She needs to find a way to communicate the same information about staying together, leaving room behind for other tours to pass through and following her cat on a stick with humor vs. scolding. All the kids in our group took their ear phones out midway through and just walked along. I always tip but nobody was inclined to do so, so we felt it would be odd to do it and pressure the others, because the other larger family was having a hard time dealing with her. We decided just to sort of shake it off. She even made it a point to Shela said without her how much more time we would’ve been in line to see St. Peter’s Basilica. We understood that having her pointed out was interestingly self-serving. Anyway, she knows her material extraordinarily well at the presentation, and the demeanor begin to over- shadow the experience. I would simply tell her to be cheerful and find a way to say the same things about sticking together in a fun, teamwork manner! Thank you!

This does exactly what it says it will, skip the loooooooong line into the Vatican. You are on your own once you get in, but this will save you a lot of time.

We upgraded our skip the line tickets to include a guided tour of the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. Best decision. Christine led us through the throngs of tourists, quickly getting us to the highlights of the museums. Her explanation of the chapel enhanced our experience. She was excellent. Note that we had our tour in English.

The Vatican and Sistine chapel were beautiful. The check in process with the tour guide was easy but once we got to the Vatican they just dropped you off and you had to navigate everything yourself. More specific instructions and smaller group size needed in my opinion.

We were very disappointed with the lines to get in and lack of organization. The ticket fees were cheap and we should have just waited in the regular line to enter. Once inside it was so crowded to enjoy the museum.

Sweaty, hot, crowded, disorganized, too many people for one guide. A real letdown, and expensive to boot. Go in the off-season when it is cool and less mobbed. Just a cash cow for church, no spirituality. Candy of thousands, could not appreciate art, guards bullied the mob. Really ugly.

I found this was the best way to experience the Vatican as the lines to get in were extremely long but just simply skipping the line meant I could wander the Vatican at my own pleasure which was amazing. I am in awe of the structure, paintings/statues and the atmosphere within this museum. Walking into the Sistine Chapel, I felt so privileged and humble. Words cannot describe how beautiful this chapel is. Something that needs to be seen to be believed. The tour company were very organised in getting the group inside the museum quickly and getting us our tickets before letting us wander freely. Very helpful

Unfortunately the guy at your office offered me and my granddaughter a private tour of St. Peter’s and charged me €20 each. The actual guide informed me there was no such thing after our great tour of The Vatican and beautiful Sistine Chapel. I had paid for the tour weeks ago. I did not need to be scammed by the guy in your Rome office. Very disappointing! Ruined the experience at the end. You need to refund my €40. Thank you!

Dear Jocelyn, You paid for escorted entrance ticket, it even states that under your review title as that is the product you purchased. A guided tour is offered in case you want a guide for the Vatican, there is no obligation or coercion to take the tour but if you want to take the tour and have only purchased entrance tickets of course there is an extra charge, again this is by choice, no one forced you to do this. This is of course a group tour as was clearly explained to you by the staff member, a private tour is significant amount more than what you had paid and also not possible as guides are fully booked weeks to months in advance. It is very clear in your booking what you had paid for as well as the staff members always being clear and concise about upgrading for a guided tour if that is what you want. It is totally unreasonable to call it a scam when everything is clearly written and explained for you, and you made the choice to do it of your own accord. Kind regards, Brian
