The tour begins at the Salem Common, near the playground. The first stop is the high school used in the filming of Hocus Pocus. From there we will walk approximately 3.2 miles and end at Pioneer Village.

The tour will conclude at Pioneer Village, we are guests will have the opportunity to explore the village on their own (weather permitting). Please note: The tour does not go inside Pioneer Village we just end next to Pioneer Village.
What To Expect
Discover the filming sites for the 1993 movie “”Hocus Pocus”” and learn about Salem’s history on this guided walking tour. Over the course of the 2-hour 15-minute and 3-mile (4.8-kilometer) long walking tour, you’ll visit five different filming sites.
Meet your guide and group near Salem Common to start the tour. The next stop will be at Salem Old Town Hall, one of the top sites downtown for fans of the movie. Then head to the Ropes Mansion and Garden, the site of Allison’s house in the movie. Next will be the Broad Street Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries in the city. The tour then concludes at Salem 1630: Pioneer Village, a living history museum.
In addition to learning about the filming sites, you’ll also learn about the Salem Witch Trials and Salem’s maritime history.

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The weather was amazing, 79 degrees. I would highly suggest doing this tour.

Veronica was awesome! Such a fun tour full of Hocus Pocus trivia and history of Salem. See Max and Dani’s house was the cherry on top of a fun tour!

Was the walk thru salem getting to know the history behind salem and the witch trials. Also seeing the houses that was filmed in the movie. The tour guide michael mas very professional and kind.took his time to take pictures of us and explained in full details of the tour.

This was honestly a huge disappointment. To be fair we did do a tour a few days ago (also witch city) and it was AMAZING, super informative and our tour guide was educated in what she was telling us. Today, was a little different. 1st our tour guide was late, punctuality is important to me especially when I am paying for a service. The tour was long, it was mostly walking and there were only 6 filming locations but it was about a 3 mile walk. This would have been better as a trolley or bus tour. At one point we stopped at a convenience store for 20 minutes…is was only 30 minutes into the tour, I just felt like it was unnecessary. Our tour guide also said some things that contradicted what our last tour guide said at the same sights, as I mentioned before, it was the same tour company. When I fact check it, it appeared that our first tour guide was correct so it was frustrating that we were now getting false information after paying good $. Our previous tour guide her name is Hillary and again, we LOVE her) also gave us more information about the Hocus Pocus sights on her History and Hauntings tour than our tour guide for our actual Hocus Pocus tour. We also went over time on the tour, as I mentioned before, punctuality is important to me so this was frustrating to me partly because it caused us to go over on our parking time and risked us getting a ticket, this wouldn’t have been the case if the tour ended on time. We also had a few members of our group that had reservations that they missed to a different sight because the tour went over.
With all of that, I opted for 2 stars because the tour guide tried, she was also patient with us as we had our twins and pushed them in their strollers throughout the entire tour. It was also hot so that could have contributed to our tour taking longer since we were all tired. She passed out candy which was fun, and she interacted with the younger kids well. She gave us goodie bags at the end, not sure if this is standard but we appreciated it.

It rained all day Saturday, we went to Walmart on Friday and bought umbrellas and a rain poncho and used both at same time. It was horrible and this walking tour was stupid. Tour guide walked way to fast, had not much to do with movie, it started out good but turned bad fast
We started with like 25 people and there were like 15-18 by end of tour.
The old people couldn’t keep up or hear what she was saying.
We had to walk in a straight line because there were so many people on roads driving and other people walking so she kept talking and the end of the line couldn’t hear anything.
Complete waste of money.

Grace was an awesome tour guide. Enjoyed every step of the way. If we didn’t take the tour we wouldn’t find all the exciting spots from Hocus Pocus .

Fabulous experience! Our host Yvonne was the best! Despite the rain we powered through and had the most wonderful time exploring Salem. Yvonne was well rehearsed, friendly and a pleasure! So much attention to detail and you can tell she loves guiding this tour, thank you!

Our tour guide did a fantastic job of making this a great experience even in the pouring rain. We loved the stop in the cemetery to learn about Giles Corey.
