Our Guide Franceska was excellent. Knowledgeable, and funny with good little details about the tour and the cities of Salzburg and Hallstatt. The drive through the mountains was lovely. The information about where and how the scenes were filmed was very interesting and surprising. If you know and love The Sound of Music, I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent small group day tour by minivan. Total group size was 5 people, just us and another couple. The guide was very informative and helped us take photos. Love the interesting stories regarding Sound of Music and the Austrian restaurant he recommended us at Hallstatt was excellent!

The tour guide Elvis was excellent very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us on his iPad the clips from the Sound of Music film and then where it had taken place as we stopped at each place. It was a small coach of 8 which was enjoyable and intimate. We had enough time to enjoy each stop. Loved Hallstatt too. Beautiful and scenic.

This tour was incredible! Jonathan was so knowledgeable about Salzburg, the Sound of Music, Hallstatt and bonus for us since we were there on Dec 5 - Krampus. We had the best time listening to his stories while he played the Sound of Music sound track. It was a group of 5 of us which made it really nice in terms of conversation, how long we had at places, and it was just perfect all around.

A lot of money for not much of a tour, the sound of music bit frankly was a bit naff. Information good but not enough sites to be honest. Halstatt was alright but seen better. All told 4/10

The entire tour was wonderfully arranged and planned for. Elvis was super cool and friendly and kept us feeding with nuggets of information about the place. My fellow travelers were super sweet. Halstatt was the highlight…very beautiful and picturesque…a must go place.

Francisca made this a very informative and enjoyable tour even though it was mostly raining. Even if you do not know the Sound of Music movie, the story and the locations are wonderful. And the drive throughout the countryside to Hallstatt is lovely. An adorable little village. Great tour!!

Major disappointment/waste of a lot of money

The guide, Johnathan, was good. However, this is a gawk-out -the-window driving tour of a few Salzburg sites (if you’re in the back of the van you see little more than head-rests and van sidewalls) followed by one or two 10 minute stops (gazebo/wedding church) combined with 3 hours of zipping down curvy countryside roads and a self guided visit to tiny Hallstatt. Ending with being dumped out on our own down the street from Mirabel gardens with an “it’s over there” send off.
