Duration: 2 hours

Operating Schedule: Times vary depending on season. Operates 9:00am to 6 pm (last tour departs Old Town at 4 pm) from March 11-October 29th; Operates 9:00am to 5 pm (last tour departs Old Town at 3 pm) from October 30th-March 10th; Trolleys arrive at each boarding location approximately every 20 minutes. Guests will be given brochures when they begin the tour and can refer to the schedules printed in the brochure to see the first tour time, last tour time, and last re-boarding time at each boarding location. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

A:You can begin your tour at any of our stops however, the stop at Embarcadero Marina (Stop B) is located at 1004 N. Harbor Drive along the Embarcadero near the USS Midway Museum and the cruise ship terminal.

A:Our trolleys come by approximately every 30 minutes. Times may vary slightly due to traffic conditions and city events. Depending on demand, the time of year, day of the week, and time of day, our dispatchers often put more trolleys in the tour loop.

A:Yes, we can accommodate strollers but they must be folded and will be stored up front with the conductor on space-available basis. Strollers in the aisle ways would constitute a safety hazard.

We did the hop-on and off tour. We saw what we wanted and was not rushed at all. learned a lot of SD history from drivers. Really was worth it!!! Sorry- was unable to post pics!

Problem redeeming tickets -

Had a hard time finding the tickets on my phone when I went to the Trolley Booth. The e-mail did not take me to them, and the cashier said they frequently had a hard time with Viator purchases. A supervisor had to enter my reservation number into his system to find them. I noticed later they had sent me a message with the bar code, which I did not notice until later. The trolley ride was great - loved going over the Cornado Bridge, and the driver/guides were excellent and fun.

Please customer service training for “Conductor Jack”

It was a good tour until “Conductor Jack” started berating my mother about listening to him on the tour. The problem is the information could have been conveyed in a couple of words but was instead delivered in a rant directed at my mother. My family and I (8 passengers) had to exit the vehicle and wait for another trolley (20 minutes.) I have never been treated so poorly as a customer. More training needed.
