We had Nacho and Rodrigo on this trip and it was amazing! Thank you to Rodrigo for such wonderful driving, especially up the mountain! Nacho was a wonderful guide, his sense of humor and knowledge of the area was so informative. The lagoon was beautiful and the story that went with it as well. We had lunch at the resort, about half of us, and it was delicious, the view spectaular, the service excellent! The vineyard, In Situ, was a great stop. The wine was excellent and empanadas as well.
Nacho was an amazing tour...

Nacho was an amazing tour guide! I felt that he and the driver went above and beyond, and they were super friendly and knowledgeable. The llama farm is not part of the tour anymore, but because we requested and we had a small group (6 total), Nacho and the driver worked to find some llamas at a nearby restaurant that we could visit! Our tour included Chilean history, a wine tour with fresh empanadas, a long drive to a ski resort in the Andes that included stories of the mountains, and a quick visit with llamas. It was a little expensive for the price (speaking as a college student), but it was an incredible experience nonetheless.
History, lake beauty and wine

Small group of 11 people. Cristian, our guide was very knowledgeable in any espect of history, politics, nowadays problems etc. He was not annoyed and answered with honesty any questions I had. Drive was a bit long on the way back but it was worth it
What a fabulous experience

Don’t miss out

The lake is gorgeous and the drive up there is nothing short of an engineering marvel. Yes it’s a long day but well worth it. The winery was lovely and the wine and empanada so delicious. I will now seek out Red Bull and National Geographic films that spotlight this area for the extreme winter sports

We were picked up on time and immediately immersed in friendly conversation with Miguel. Stopped at a petrol station before getting on the road to pick up water, snacks, lunch & bathroom break. The entire day was filled with information about Chile & the Andes. Loved every minute of it.
Great day trip from Santiago

This was a really great small group day trip from Santiago. Our guide, Victor, was fantastic. He provided a lot of information along the way, in both English and Spanish, and was hilarious. I was picked up around 8am, then we picked up other passengers from around Santiago. The first stop was at the vineyard (which included the wine and empanada) at around 10:30am, and then we continued driving, arriving at the lagoon around midday. There is a short walk down to the lagoon, which is very pretty. It's worth noting that the lagoon is in the Andes, and the altitude is a lot higher than Santiago, so you might notice it on the walk back up the hill. There is a restaurant at Portillo (right next to the lagoon), if you want to buy a coffee or some lunch. After leaving the lagoon, it's a solid 3 hour drive back to Santiago, so worth bringing some headphones or having a nap.
Wonderful day tour!

Guide Chris and driver "Big Ben" were excellent. We enjoyed the drive to the vineyard, a nice empanada lunch and wine tasting and the stroll through the vineyard including sampling the various grapes grown there. Next, on to Portilla and the stunning Andes and Inca Lagoon. Chris was knowledgeable, humourous and extremely conscientious as was Ben, our exceedingly skilled driver who expertly navigated the many switchbacks that took us up to Portillo and back down again in the comfort of a late model and immaculate van. A thoroughly enjoyable day!!
Misleading and Waste of a Day
scranberry10, Feb 2024
This tour was extremely misleading based on the description which was not very detailed to begin with. If we could do it over again, we would have skipped this tour and would not recommend it to anyone. It felt very overpriced for what it was and on top of it, it was a waste of a full day for less than 2 hours of activities. The wine "tour" was 20 mins and it was basically two bottles of wine for the whole group opened by the tour guide with no benches to sit on. It was not associated with the winery in any way. The tour guide basically bought two bottles from the gift shop and brought their own glasses and served us each bottle. We did not see the facility or the grounds. We did not see any part of the wine making process. The whole thing felt a little shady since it was not associated with the winery at all. We literally just drove in, had two glasses, and drove off. The drive to the lagoon was not worth it. We spent an hour and half at the lagoon with no activities and no hiking trails. We just stared at the lagoon and then went inside when it got too cold. We are not sure if the ski resort knew about us coming in because they were extremely rude as if we were not supposed to be there. Overall it was about 7 hours of driving and less than two hours of things to do. The other "activities" listed were basically one minute stops to take pics like the snail highway. I would highly recommend to skip this and go on a real wine tour instead or just stay in the city. Two stars because the tour guide and driver were friendly.
It was worth the trip !

Friendly, welcoming and informative guide Chris. Good and friendly driver Big Ben. Both working as a team. The photo stops in great locations with explanations about the geography. Team never rushing passengers. Helping with taking pictures and offering tips. San Esteban Vineyard. Tasty empanadas with 3 wine tastings in situ under a tree, overviewing vines, valleys and mountains. Surprise reveal of Laguna Del Inca. It’s incredible color. Interesting comments about the lake and story telling about its name by our guide. Lunch at Portillo hotel was excellent. View over the lake. Feeling safe with driver.
Great sights, long ride
Philippe_S, Feb 2024
The laguna is superb, and the wine tasting very good. On my day, the road construction was very heavy, and we waited a lot. On the other hand, our guide made a brilliant change of plans to deal with rain. She was also excellent at making the trip interesting. The hotel pick-up was very appreciated.
This is a beautiful...

This is a beautiful excursion. I did not give it 5 stars because the lunch at Portillo was terrible. Everything else was very nice. Benjamin, our guide did a wonderful job.
Awesome Inca Lake
Gerard_F, Feb 2024
Inca Lake is wonderful. Nacho is excellent informative tour guide and Rodrigo the driver is a hero of the switchback. Lovely vineyard on the way. Great day!

Amazing trip day trip to the Andes with Ben & Chris. They were very professional and fun tour guides. Must do trip when visiting Santiago Chile. We were even able to go kayaking in the lagoon which was a cool experience.
