Samantha (guide) and Ricardo (driver) were amazing! We were only in Santiago for a couple days so were very intentional about which experiences to include. I am so glad we did this one! The Andes are amazing and a must-see while in Santiago. The In Situ winery was adorable and delicious (and affordable!), the lagoon is spectacular, and the brief stop to see the llamas was fun. Definitely recommend this tour.

Beautiful mountains
Patti_M, Apr 2024
Inca Lagoon was a long day, but for me worth it. We were picked up at 7 am 10 minutes before our pick up time. We were the 2nd in the van and it took about an hour to pick up the other 12 participants. We stopped about 20 or so minutes after the last person was picked up for about 15 minutes at a gas station that has a bathroom, and a place to get coffee/cortados and breakfast items (croissants/muffins/doughnuts). The next stop was about an hour later on the side of the highway so we could get a few quick pictures of the highest point in the Andes mountain range. 20 minutes later we were at the In Situ family vineyards in San Esteban. There is a covered porch area where our guide, Hector, set up a nice tasting of three wines with some snacks. He gave a really nice description of the wines. There is a convenient restroom and gift shop if you are looking to buy gifts/wine. We arrived in Portillo about 2 hours later. There is a nice restaurant with a beautiful view. It was suggested that we eat first to avoid having to wait too long for the food if the restaurant filled up. After eating we had about an hour to walk to the lake and take some photos. There isn’t an obvious path around the lake but some areas to walk nearest to the hotel. There was a kiosk that was selling bottled water and the hotel had a nice gift shop for the skiers. We left the hotel about 2:40 pm and got to the next stop about 4:15 to see the llamas/go to the bathroom. The llamas are not super warm and fuzzy. You can get close enough for pictures, but they were not up for being touched. I’m sure I could have but they do spit, so we did not harass them. There was also a horse and some geese. We were the 2nd to last to be dropped off at 7:10 pm. There is construction on the road which reduces the lanes to one way and you are at the whim of the construction guys as to how long you wait. On the way up I thin the longest we waited was 10 minutes twice, maybe 5 minutes at another stop and one stop we did not have to wait at all. On the way back, though, it was closer to 50 minutes for one stop, 15 for for two and maybe 10 for the last one. There is no ability to do anything but wait. Plus, the end of the day traffic of getting back to Santiago made the trip back a little longer. If you are not a patient person this is not the event for you. If you can nap in the van, or you enjoy staring at the majestic mountains, it’s not all that bad. We had really decent weather, but there was a lot of being hot when the sun was shining/ wind not blowing and then being cold when the sun went behind the clouds. Wear layers. Take dramamine if you need it. There are a lot of switch backs, but the driver was excellent. The driver and guide do this daily and have it down to a system.
Fun trip with Ricky & Hector!
Todd_P, Apr 2024
The San Esteban winery was awesome! It was a very personal feeling visit; very few other tourist where present. Some of the best wine we had in Chile. Portillo was nice, restaurant was excellent. Be prepared for cool and windy! Visiting the llama's on the way back was fun! Ricky and Hector did a great job! Be prepared for road construction, delays added almost 3 hours to our tour.
Good tour to Inca Lagoon
Laurie_D, Apr 2024
Beautiful visit to the Inca lake and resort at Portillo. The guide and driver were great. Recommend this tour
Escape Santiago city for a drive to the Andes seeing views of rivers, lake. Enjoy breakfast, wine, lunch
Christine_V, Apr 2024
Driver Alejandro maneuvered the winding roads with safety. Guide Alvero spoke English, Portuguese, and Spanish communicating seamlessly with our international van of 11 from Australia, Brazil and USA. "Go2Chile" aka "Isto e Chile" planned a great tour in a comfortable/safe van with hotel pickup. We enjoyed our drive into the Andes. Breakfast and wine stop, and lunch at the Ski Portillo hotel restaurant were tasty. The views were breathtaking of the lake, Andes, and rivers. Pickup was about 8am, Santiago hotel return about 5pm. No hiking involved. An easy day. We enjoyed it!
Inca Lagoon ++

Great guide and driver. Relaxed pace and many attractions to take in. Construction slowed down travel time but guide made this well known in advance. Appreciated the personalized pick up. Recommend this tour.
Lunch with a view …
Kirsty_F, Apr 2024
A good trip, with a very nice wine tasting stop (albeit a little early in the day at 9.30am!) and an amazing lunch with a view. You get to see some good sites along the way including the road with 29 bends in a row. Our tour guide was very friendly and fluent in both English and Spanish, ensuring the whole group were included. The reason I can not give this tour 5 stars was the driving. Multiple times I was genuinely fearful we were going to have an accident. The driver took no notice of speed signs and we went round multiple blind corners on the wrong side of the road. Lots of shouting, beeping etc from other drivers made for an uncomfortable journey.
Wonderful Andies

Memories of a wonderful trip.Alvaro was a fantastic informative guide and our driver Ricardo was a brilliant driver. My wife and myself and am sure the rest of the guests we made friends with had an amazing trip.Thank you for making a good day a beautiful one
Amazing Experience
Luis_C, Apr 2024
This tour was awesome. The views were scenic, the springs hot, and the BBQ was delicious. Tour guides were informative and super nice. They seemed to love what they were doing!
10/10 would definitely recommend
Katherine_W, Apr 2024
Our guide Alvaro and driver Ricardo were amazing. Both were super informative and cheerful. The wine tasting was wonderful, and the food at the ski resort was top notch! Even though we had to fight a bit of construction, it never felt rushed ...and Alvero warned us about the construction right away. The gas station stop and Llama stop weren't anything special, but they were very nicely spaced during the tour so there weren't any really long driving legs (great if you needed to use the restroom or grab something to drink). The van was clean and comfortable. The only thing that was disappointing(not controllable by the tour) was the complete lack of outdoor benches or seats at the ski resort.
Highly Recommend

My husband and I enjoyed the day very much. Alvaro was a very nice guide and Ricardo was a great driver. The wine tour was very interesting as was the drive into the Andes. We enjoyed the other guests as well.
Mountains, Condors & a Beautiful Lake
Jack_A, Apr 2024
Went on the tour with Alvaro and our driver Ricardo. Tour was fantastic! Alvaro gave us some great insights into the history of Chile along the way. Highlight for me was going up Ruta 60 and seeing some of the highest peaks of the Andes, along with of course the Incas Lagoon. We even got to see Condors! Which Alvaro said is super rare so we really got lucky. Would 100% recommend anyone in Santiago do this tour
Great experience

Andes and Inca Lagoon tour
Wayne_M, Apr 2024
Hector and Ricky, our driver and guide did an awesome job showing us the sites and taking care of everyone. The winery was great. The highlight of the trip was definitely the trip up the Andes mountains to Inca Lagoon. Then we stopped to see llamas on the way back to town. It is a lengthy trip but very worth the time !!!
Amazing vineyard and wine tour and loved the lagoon
xanthe_h, Apr 2024
Alvaro was an amazing guide as Rodriguez a superb driver. A superb tour of ver the Andes and loved the Inca lagoon visit 😜 I swam in it 👍🏼 lunch was very nice and loved visiting the llamas. Definitely recommend this tour. The wine was delicious but it wasn’t a vineyard tour just a wine tasting.

Thank you for sharing your personal feedback. *** We do not offer a Wine Tour. This tour includes a wine tasting by our guide at the winery garden over looking the Andes Mountains and Vineyards. Wine Tasting not Wine tour. Thank you once again. Important to clarify the information. That will help future clients.
Very scenic tour

Hector, our guide and Ricky our driver gave us a tour that was perfect. They were both very friendly and helpful.

This was a great experience. There's no getting around that it's a long drive, but, overall it was a good value
Great trip
Janet_W, Apr 2024
The Inca lagoon was incredibly beautiful. The winery was also beautiful. Workers were hand picking grapes during our visit, which was interesting to observe. The only negative was the road work that lengthened the journey which couldn't be helped. It was worth it to see the Andes and lagoon. Benjamin and Alejandro were terrific.
Skip this trip if you have limited time in Chile!
Patricia_S, Apr 2024
The guides were great but the van was too small and HORRIBLE. It is TOO SMALL for larger travelers such as my husband who is 6' 3" and 230 lbs. He could not fit into the seats without squishing me into the window seat and had to sit sideways most of the trip which is UNACCEPTABLE in my opinion. I would suggest you use larger vans for long trips. The Inca Lagoon was nice but not really worth the trip. The winery stop was nice, but there are better options. Frankly, if you have limited time SKIP THIS TRIP!!!!!!
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Thank you Patricia for sharing your personal experience. And we are sorry you did not enjoy the day. And this will help future clients. Specially in the moment of making the reservation. There is in the booking SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS. This is very important to consider at the moment of booking a tour at any country . We do not know the person until the pick up hotel. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS lets us know if the person has any kind of condition. Such as tall , physical condition etc. That way we can reserve the best seat that would be the best option . All seats in the tourism vehicle are STANDARD SEATS . We thank your feedback to help future clients in the moment of making a booking. Regards
This was an amazing trip....
Natalie_R, Apr 2024
This was an amazing trip. The tour guide and driver made the trip go off without a hitch. We got to meet some people from all over the world. The winery, restaurant, lamas, and views were lovely.
A good day out
Diane_H, Apr 2024
The Andes were awesome as was the Inca Lagoon. Lunch overlooking the Lagoon was a real treat to. A special shout out to Alvero and our driver Ricardo, simply the best 👌 only negative were the long traffic delays due to roadworks.
