Overview

The Blue Grotto is the most famous sight on Capri, but the long wait at the cave entrance means that many boat tours skip a stop here. What To Expect

Your morning starts at a central meeting point in Sorrento, right next to Port Marina Piccola. Board a comfortable, restroom-equipped boat with room for a maximum of 12 travelers—guaranteeing an intimate excursion.

Spend time relaxing on the padded sundeck as you cruise along Sorrento’s scenic coastline toward Capri. Your first stop is the famed Blue Grotto.

Beat the crowds with a morning visit to the famed sea cave (own expense). From there, you’ll continue cruising around Capri as you enjoy complimentary refreshments, alcoholic beverages, and fresh seasonal fruit.

Admire landmarks like the White Grotto, Green Grotto, and Punta Carena Lighthouse as you sail toward the island’s port. After disembarking, you’ll have three hours of free time to shop or grab a meal in Capri on your own.

Pass by the Natural Arch and Faraglioni rocks as you make your way back to Sorrento, stopping to swim and snorkel (snorkeling equipment included).

Great Day Trip

This was a great tour of the blue grotto and a boat tour around Capri. The three hours in capri was spent eating, drinking, and walking the capri overlook. A great day!

Blue Grotto was awesome but paying for that part was cumbersom and should have been included in booking fee. I don’t recall reading there would be a separate fee. Guides were great but hard to hear what they were saying so would suggest a microphone

Should Have Been Cancelled In Advance - Disappointing!

Apparently, the Blue Grotto was closed all week long due to rough seas. I would have expected the Viator to inform us of this issue before the cancellation period had expired. The boat captain was highly competent and skilled - but the ride over to Capri was quite the roller-coaster, and several fellow passengers were very queasy. In my opinion, this tour should have been cancelled in advance - or at least we should have been forewarned that there would be no Blue Grotto Tour, which was kind of the point of this day trip - it failed to meet the activity as advertised.

We had quite the adventure as we headed via boat to Capri. The weather was quite stormy but the captain and tour guide were very accommodating. We were unable to go in the Blue Grotto but had a wonderful tour by boat around the island of Capri.

Beautiful boat trip to Capri! Luciano and our boat captain, affectionately known as "Watermelon " were friendly and knowledgeable! Even though it was too rough to get into the Blue Grotto the other stops more than made up for it. Very memorable trip with comfortable boat, complimentary Prosecco and fresh fruit, but most importantly exceptional guides!

The water was not calm enough for us to go into the blue grotto. That being said, the captain of the boat Francesco (sp?) was awesome! He did a great job of taking us around the island and seeing other things!

Beautiful sights! Our guide, Fabrezia, and captain were very courteous and knowledgeable. Weather was a little rough in the way back and they made sure we were all comfortable and safe. Definitely recommend!

It was an amazing boat tour of the sorrento coast, capri and all the grottos. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to see all the beauty of the area and will be back again to swim in the blue grotto!

The tour name and the selling point is visiting the Blue cave… before we left they knew that we can’t visit the blue cave.. so we end up taking a ride to capri for over 6 time more than a ferry.

A stunning boat ride to Capri with an amazing crew of 2 including Elena who was fantastic. They stopped several times for us to be able to get good pictures, they treated us to a swift ride through the hole in Faraglione di Mezzo. We were not able to get into the Blue Grotto due to high winds and water level but the day was still perfect. My best friend and I walked through the gardens and saw blue water that appeared to be colored by a Disney artist. The olives were the best ever! On our way to the boat we stumbled upon Blake Lively and then we had a perfect ride back to Sorrento. 100% recommend!

Loved the boat ride and information from Agatha, our guide. The blue grotto was incredible and we loved having lunch (not included) in Capri. More sights to visit on our way back to Sorrento. Nice. to be in a smaller boat vs the ferry. Also, many drinks and fresh fruit provided which were delicious!

Worst experience of my life

I show up an hour early. They never call or email me to tell me they cancelled. In fact they sent me a text 12 hours before the trip confirming it. I only know they cancelled because a lady at the bar called the company owner. They said they will reimburse me but I will let you know if they do or don’t

Lovely Guide and Beautiful Tour

We had a wonderful tour with Sebastiano. It’s mainly a family run business with Sebastiano and his children, and you felt the familial presence and connection throughout the whole trip. He was kind, funny, and worked hard to ensure everyone had a great time and great photos taken. The tour was exactly as described taking you around the whole island, three different grottos including early access to the Blue Grotto. We had three hours on the island to explore on our own before boarding the boat to go swimming with snorkels and continuing the trip. We received our choice of Coke, water, or an Italian beer and ended the trip with Prosecco and another opportunity to swim. We were on the fence about whether or not we wanted to make time for a whole Capri trip from Sorrento and we are so glad we did!

Swimming in the waters off Capri was so refreshing! We swam as long as we wanted, then climbed on the boat where fresh fruits and Prosecco was waiting for us. The captain was fantastic, telling us all the history of the area and showing us all the little coves around the island. The blue grotto was interesting too, but the oarsman on the boat in which we entered the grotto, immediately started talking about tips. He was not very pleasant and those two things were off-putting.

The Blue Grotto was worth the trip

The Blue Grotto was amazing, the colors were phenomenal. The cruise around the island was breathtaking and the coves/caverns were beautiful. The path from the marina to the town of Capri was blocked due to a fallen boulder so walking up the millions of steps was exhausting. At the top of the walk was a charming ristorante with delicious pizza and limoncello spritz’s. We had an hour and a half until we had to be back at the marina so we took a taxi (they are topless for better sightseeing). Our driver was born and raised on the island and gave us great commentary. We stopped in Anacapri for gelato and headed back down towards the marina. He got us as close as he could and we walk the rest of the way. It was a very good day (except for the walk all the way up the side of the mountain).

We enjoyed our day on the water very much! Francesco is an amazing Skipper and lots of fun! Be prepared to walk on the island, I counted over 300 steps straight up!! Beautiful place and so much fun!!
