What To Expect

After meeting up with your group at the main dock of the Trout Creek Memorial Park, and Marina you’ll board an airboat, without having to wait in a long line to purchase your ticket.

The route showcases the St Johns River and its tributaries with a chance to look out for wildlife along the way. If you’re lucky, you could see alligators, birds, snakes, and manatees, with onboard captain commentary to make sure you don’t miss anything, with a headset provided to ensure everything is clear.

As well as local wildlife, you can also hear about Florida’s flora, an infamous pirate ship that sank in the river, and a local favorite—the Outback Crab Shack.

This exciting journey promises fascinating commentary, a thrilling ride, and wildlife spotting opportunities too—finishing up at the point you began at Trout Creek Memorial Park and Marina.

      We’ve been on other boat rides around the state and the captain was kind enough to wait for late passengers, this ride did not wait for us as we were 10 min late. Was it our fault, sure. But waiting an extra few minutes would have not been a problem. Hoping for a refund for three passengers at $79 each. Hate we missed.

      We were on the smaller 7 person boat. Tyler was respectful of the no wake zone but when we were passed that he opened it up and we were flying. It was thrilling. Never felt nervous or uncomfortable. We saw small snakes and gators. Great experience. Highly recommend this tour.....be sure to ask for Tyler!

      Great experience! Took my family of four 7 and 9 year olds. They thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Guides were great, saw plenty of gators, turtles, and birds.

      There was only a slight chill in February it the sun shone brightly. Our air boat handler maneuvered the vessel with expertise; I never felt fearful. The wildlife was out on our tour - sighting juvenile alligators and all varieties of birdlife. Not too mention the excitement of soaring on the surface of the water. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

      The guide was great and the boat ride was fine…. Although a little slower than we thought it would be with only one quick spurt- and we were told the larger 15 passenger boat could only top out at 28mph. There was a lot of very slow moving while the guide spoke. My biggest complaints are because of my own ignorance. We only saw one tiny little alligator during the whole trip, and it turns out that the alligators really aren’t out that often. My advice if you want to see wildlife is to check before you book to see what alligator season you’re in. Even the guide was surprised by the lack of wildlife, with the other passengers noting that there weren’t even any birds or bird noises and we only saw a couple turtles. Very disappointing. The second issue that I had is booking through Viator. Once we got here, I noticed that every savings booklet and even the airboat’s online booking site offered $25 off per person. aviator did not offer any sort of discount. I would have thought that they would have given me the best price available. I will never use them again.
