We enjoyed the self-guided audio tour very much. Just enough detail about each display. We then were fascinated by the miniature art display.

While the exhibits might not have resonated with you, we do have 8 fully interactive scenes, and all items are completely accessible and available to touch and engage. Additionally, our ghost-hunting experience is a specially developed app to help you find ghosts in the museum. Sometimes it may take time to catch all the ghosts. Medieval history and torture in one spot

The medieval torture museum was well done. The rooms were easy to navigate and not overly cramped with artifacts. The employee who checked us in asked if I knew the museum was for people 18 and over due to the subject matter. I had my teen with me. I told the employee that I knew the content from their site. However, this is also part of history that my teen needs to know about. He then informed me there is a section on female sexual torture. I said we can skip that area. He told me where that area is located and we just bypassed it. The audio guide was a nice touch. The narrator's voice gave a haunted house vibe. There were a couple of interactive displays which was a pleasant surprise. The museum is not for young kids. The other thing to be aware of if you have never been to St Augustine the downtown area as very limited parking. There is no on site parking at the museum. St. George street is a walking promenade not a car driving road. You either have to park on the main road at a meter or park in the public parking deck. Meter parking is also very limited. All of this is beyond any shop/event owners control. The museum is not a giant museum. I think it is about 4,000 sq feet. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to get through depending on the size of your party. If you are into all things medieval then this museum is a perfect place to visit.

Not worth the price.

The exhibits were interesting but the museum is way overpriced. We only did the actual museum part because doing ghost hunting in a place like that would be ridiculous.

And it includes admission to 5,000 sqft exhibition, audio guide, Ghost Hunting Experience and Tiny Art Gallery. Taking into consideration all experiences you get, the price seens quite fair. Concerning Ghost Hunting Experience, it is an additional part of exploring the museum that adds much to the whole experience. Many of our customers enjoyed it and we have plenty of great reviews. Again, sorry that you didn't like it. Hopefully we will have a chance to make a better impression in future.

Gruesome

I’m not sure what we were expecting but the depictions of the victims were more gruesome than we expected. Definitely not for kids. And there was a sign posted that kids under the age of 18 were permitted, but I saw at least 10 kids under 18 inside the museum.

We totally agree that the some content is not suitable for children and that is why we don't reccommend kids to visit the museum. Hovewer children may be admitted only with adults and many parents decide to come with the whole family. This is their decision that we respect.

Good time getting tortured

We made reservations a few days prior. Once there we made contact with the associate who was very informative of the place. There were two other couples there. No Loud people and no time limit. There's a ghost app to down load. Really fun and creepy 😬

Had an amazing time!! So much History which was explained thoroughly! What a beautiful “HIDDEN JEWEL” based out in St. Augustine, FL!! Just 45-Minutes away from our home… Planning on going again & purchasing tickets for others to experience this awesome event! [Make sure you use the restroom before you arrive as well as well as give yourself about 10 to 15 minutes to find a parking spot to walk from.]

Surprised my wife with a trip to St. Augustine for her birthday and was told we had to check this place out. We loved it! Staff is very welcoming and fun. Listen to the other reviews and get the audio tour with it, makes the experience that much better. So interesting and eerie to learn about these past practices. Some attractions are interactive which was awesome. We had a great time and 100% recommend it everyone visiting there. Also, check out the mini art museum inside there too, totally worth a look.
