What To Expect

Get out of Sydney and into the fresh air of the Blue Mountains on this hassle-free group tour, where all the logistics are organized for you so you just get to enjoy the day out.

Your tour starts with pickup from one of several spots in Sydney. Then you’ll be on your way to the Blue Mountains. Along the way you’ll make a few stops. First is Featherdale Wildlife Park to check out different types of Australian wildlife.

Next, get your cameras ready for photos of the Three Sisters from Echo Point. After this, stop by Leura village for lunch (at your own expense) to fuel up for a trip to Scenic World.

You’ll have a driver taking you from place to place, and a guide to make sure it all runs smoothly.

Lastly, cruise down the scenic Parramatta River to Circular Quay where your tour ends.

What a wonderfully experience. Our guide, Barry was great. A great driver, give us so much information about the area. Answered all our questions. The Featherdale rescue park was delightful, feeding the animals. The Skyline park was great, beautiful views. Lines were a bit long but moved pretty quickly. A must experience if in Sydney. Oh, boat ride too!

the visit to the mountains was really a short tour of the skytree attraction - there was no time for anything else. if you want more active sightseeing this is not the trip for you. the guide was very nice but treated us like a child

Total waste of money and more importantly a full day wasted

My wife and I were VERY disappointed in the entire experience. The advertisement stated a max of 20 people..Not so. Our bus/van had more than 20 people. the ride was crowded and uncomfortable especially considering we spent most of the time in the bus. We had no sooner got started and the tour guide announced the scenic world rides were cancelled. The reason given was they had water problems. This meant NO Scenic Railway, NO Skyway and NO Cableway. The Rainforest Boardwalk also did not happen. Due to very heavy fog as noted in the included pictures we did not stop to see the Three Sisters. Our so called RIVER CRUISE was a ferry ride which stopped to pick up people at about 8 stops.. Our tour guide dropped us off at the ferry, handed us a $10.00 bill, told us to catch a ferry back and then left in the bus. The ferry ride cost $10.70 each so we had to pay 70 cents each..not much but an insult. Our cost included tickets for attractions that were cancelled with no thought of refunding the money for the cancelled events. I know the weather is out of their control BUT this tour should never have happened. My wife and I have travelled extensively and this by far is the worst experience we have had. Shame on you Viator.

A long day, but fun

The highlight of this tour was our first stop, where we got to pet kangaroos and a koala while having our pic taken with him (paid $35 for the koala photo op). The Blue Mtns were beautiful, and we enjoyed our tour guide Robert and the cablecar/tram/railway. Unfortunately, his instructions at Scenic World were not clear to everyone, and a family of four got lost. Our bus was then an hour late to leave, so the following bus AND ferry rides made for a long day. Was a good tour, though.

Perfect trip to visit Sydney and the Blue Mountains

It would have been a perfect trip if it wasn’t for the cancellation of our three rides, due to some water issues. We were told that we should get a partial refund. Aaron was a perfect guide!

Absolutely the view over three sisters and the blue mountain national park are worth the experience. The program could be in different order, for example first in the morning scenic world, middle of the day very long queues and not enough time to experience the whole place. Guide was good, points to him.

Featgerdale Wildlife Reserve was the highlight!

Tour was mostly as expected. The featherdale wildlife reserve was the best part, and getting to see koalas, wombats, emus and kangaroos up close. Not to mention all the cool birds. We kind of wish there were more guides there to tell you about the animals while you were walking around. Next they stop in a town named Leura, and give you an hour to meander around and either shop or buy lunch. Scenic World itself can be quite busy and lots of families with children, so know that's what to expect. Lines for the 3 rides can take some time. But the view of the waterfall and 3 sisters rock formation and mountains were beautiful. They don't give you time really "hike" to any of these features, especially if you want to go on the Railway, Skyway, and Tram. But at least you don't have to stay in the giant group for any part of the experience. And the "cruise" ride home down the Parramatta River is just a fast ferry. You pay for that yourself because it only takes cards, but the guide gives you cash to cover it (or you can opt to leave that as their tip... convenient). Overall, we had a really fun day.

Animal sanctuary was great, the guide was very informative and drove well. The weather was very misty and rainy and it ruined the day at Scenic world. The cloud was so low we could not see anything scenic including the “three sisters”.

Activities were great. Wonderful variety. Was a hot day and AC on bus wasn't the best. Our driver, Robert, was fun and informative and went above and beyond trying to locate a missing family at Scenic World which delayed our departure by an hour. Probably a language issue as to what the instructions were, although evident for everyone else. But all were gracious. A good day, all in all.

I would recommend FJ Tours. The driver was excellent and as a company they provided us a safe and efficient day. The Scenic Tour had long lines and was not worth the effort. The zoo trip was great and the ferry ride home was fabulous.
