Overview

Get a taste of the authentic Bali in a sustainable way when you join a cooking class at this community-run organic farm and cooking school. Pick veggies from the green garden, tour a traditional market (morning experience only), and prepare a delicious meal of six Indonesian dishes. Once you and your small group have prepared and shared your feast, take home a recipe book to recreate the flavors.

A fun, educational and tasty day out

Hard to pick the most memorable part... it was all good. Driving through the lush countryside with a great bunch of people, seeing how things grow, picking our own veggies, expert and funny cooking instructors, and the delicious food that we cooked and ate. I thoroughly recommend this class.

The gardens are lovely. The cooking was fun, but doing the firefly watch with Depi and her uncle and going to their home was our favorite more intimate part. Thank you for the wonderful Balinese hospitality.

This farm is really authentic and located in The middle of jungle 👍 Lessons were good, food really delicious and teachers are really nice. I got some New ideas of foodstuff how to Make it at home 😋 The only minus is that it could Be little shorter and include less cutting of The onions and chiles. I mean that with appetizers it good to cut them all by studendt and learn how to do IT but with main courses those could Be preperet and minced by the staff, so stundent could have More energi and Time to concentrate on The new things like The new and unknown ingrediensies and how to Combine those to Make and Get New food experiences.

Delicious Food & Fun Farm Experience!

This was such a great day! The guides/chefs took us around a Balinese farm and taught us all about the local flora. It was so beautiful and informative! We got to pick many of our ingredients directly from the farm and then cook them up right there. The staff made the entire experience so fun and the food was delicious! I highly recommend this excursion!!

This tour was fantastic!!! The facility location is in the middle of a tropical heaven, it’s clean, well manicured and the ambiance is so serene! The staff are so enjoyable to be around! They are patient, fun and make this experience top notch! Then the food! Wow! So spectacular!!! Also, do the additional countryside tour and fireflies in the rice fields! Seeing a traditional Balinese home and being given a rundown of the customs and culture was wonderful! Being in the rice fields with the stars above , the fireflies lighting up the fields and listening to the music of nature was so worth it!!!! Do this your!

Made new friends! The cooking school is set on a family organic farm in the mountains. It is new since COVID. But you would never know it. They are like a well oiled machine. Engaging and full of humor. You will definitely get an introduction to Balinese cuisine. There is an advanced class offered however not offered on Viator. I recommended that they add that option because I would have definitely signed up. This is not just a cooking class it is an experience. If you take the morning class you have a market visit, breakfast, farm picking and cook appetizers eat them and then a variety of main course and dessert. Everyone in the class is having a great time and I met people from many countries that day who just have a love of food.

Great trip, started at the market, then moved to the farm where we picked our ingredients for cooking. We made a number of dishes from scratch and then ate them all. Food was delicious and company on the trip good. Our host was very friendly and engaging, sharing knowledge, helping us get the dishes just right and having some fun along the way. Definitely recommend this trip.

This cooking experience was a highlight of our trip to Ubud. Everyone at the cooking school was friendly, engaging, and full of enthusiasm for teaching us about Balinese cuisine. The dishes we made were some of the best we had on our entire trip and the provided recipe book will let us share this cuisine with family and friends back home.
