    Excellent food but not what we expected.

    The positives were that we loved the restaurant where we met and the Venetian specialities were excellent. The wine was also good. We also enjoyed the walk around the ghetto and the wine bar we visited there. We did not enjoy the rather condescending approach of the host or the quiz on his laptop. It was like a history of Venice for secondary school pupils. The host needs to refine this tour - there is wine but it is not "wine tasting". It was not very interactive, the quiz was was too detailed and not much fun. It was also inappropriate for the host to talk about his own political beliefs.

    Thanks Nick for your review. I advised you on the format on the Wine Tasting before receiving your approval and you confirmed you wanted to join it. We spent a good evening and I talked with you openly as I do usually with everybody, respecting our different points of view. Till now I didn't receive any so bad feedback from my previous guests. I will take your opinion and advice into account for the next events to see how to improve it. I hope you are glad to have written your review publicly without having shared it with me during our meeting. Great behaviour, great man!
    The Interactive Wine Tasting Event in Venice is a must

    I had an amazing experience learning about venetian wine, language, history and culture. I even had the opportunity to play a number of games. As a solo traveler, the people you meet can really make a difference to the type of vacation you have and the Interactive Wine Tasting Event was definitely one of my highlights. Alessandro was everything I could ask for as a host and the experience is one I would do again. I left knowing more about Venice, met great people and most of all I had fun.

    Thanks Rachelle, the event with you was great. I have developed further interactive games and I would welcome soon private groups too that want to spend the evening differently. I was contacted also by a hotel who organized an event for their guests and it was a nice happening!
