We really enjoyed the food tour and our guide Maria. There were 4 stops and plenty of food! All 8 of us on tour were full by the end. The guide even made substitutions for a person in the tour that did not eat any seafood. Great variety and choices. We also had places to sit in 3 of the locations which was great for me with bad ankles. Got to tour area of Venice that most people would not go to. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour guides were friendly, informative and really made the tour!! The food and beverages were splendid, worth every penny! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!

We missed it due to the train

We missed this tour due to a delayed train, totally out of our control and they were unable to rebook us or refund us.

Hi Donna, we are sorry that you missed your tour for a delay on a train. Unfortunately, last minute changes or cancellation is not possible once a tour is inside 24 hours. If there was a train delay, you should be able to claim this on your travel insurance. I do hope your remaining time in Venice went smoother and enjoyed your time.

Good food tour.. nice to see the Cannaregio area of Venice which we may not have seen otherwise if not on the food tour

We tried the Venetian spritz with delicious appetizers, then had wine with more appetizers beside the canal, then had pasta with wine in a cute restaurant and finished off with gelato!

Very informative walk and talk with Cecelia, learned so much about the culture of today's Venice. Several stops on the way for cichetti and spritzes and wine, then Venetian squid ink pasta and more wine, then gelato. Really a nice evening, ask for Cecelia!

Great to explore this area of Venice! Loved the ciccheti, spritz and gelato! The tour guide was wonderful! The "lunch" spot was ok, a bit touristy for an "authentic food tour". Our group was 6 which was perfect. Apparently, it can be booked for up to 10 people, which would detract from the experience. Overall, I highly recommend!

I was unfortunately unable to join the tour on time due to a train cancellation. Several attempts to contact the service provider through the channels provided to try to join the tour 30 minutes late was unsuccessful. Thei tour operated got back to me next day asking is I was able to join but without contact from them how was I to do so. Not even the Viator client service desk could get hold of them.

I did review and see that the ground staff tried to contact your SA phone number, but it did not go through or wrong number was given. Since they did not see any response to the text message, they started the tour.

This tour is good, you try some wine and a sprite, the wine is usually only and ounce, the spritz was a whole glass. You do not get much food, a sample of a couple things and the dinner at the end was just a bowl of pasta. I think we got spoiled by the food tour in Naples where we were served a full glass of wine or beer and full size appetizers everywhere we went and our meals at the end was a 5 course meal. So in comparison to our Naples food tour, this was less than we expected.

First two stops were bars which offered the same cicchetti’s and wine at both bars was below average. Third stop was a sit down restaurant with a small portion of one dish (pasta with squid ink) and other than bread, that was all. By far, the best food of the night was the finishing gelato— best we’ve ever had. Overall, it was too expensive for the food value.

Our tour started off on the wrong foot as the meeting point address was incorrect on the voucher. Our guide was pleasant but seemed distracted - maybe due to being in the process of training a new guide? Overall, the food was good, but we really didn’t learn much. Also, there was not the momentum we’ve experienced on other food tours.

The guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us entertained. There was adequate amount of food, and wine ! The lunch was rather disappointing though. Would do the tour at the beginning of your trip yo Venice, so that you have an idea of the good places to eat without breaking the bank, which is easy in Venice ! Overall would recommend.

Since no one else signed up for the tour date that we selected, my husband and I wound up getting a private walking food tour! It was very easy to find our meeting location and the guide had a clear sign. The food was phenomenal and our guide was a true Venetian and had so much insight into the city and how much it's changed over time. She was accommodating to my vegetarian food restrictions and helped us pick authentic cuisine to try from several different restaurants. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for authentic cuisine - you'll end up very full, but the food is simply divine and the perspective we were able to gain from talking to our guide was just incredible! This was by far our favorite excursion of the 7 excursion items we had booked for our trip.

This was our second time in Venice so we were looking for something a bit different this time around. We did this tour and it was fantastic. Our guides were great. The weather was a bit rainy and cold, but that didn't stop us from having a good time. We got to see some nice local locations and have some great food. We learned a lot about Venice and the daily life of a Venetian, which was quite nice. I would probably do this tour again since the locations may be switched up from time to time. Even if they weren't, it was a nice enough experience that I would repeat it.

This tour was great - really informative not just about Venetian food but also the history and culture. The food itself was excellent and was great to get a small gondola ride as well! I highly recommend this to everyone visiting Venice.
