    What To Expect

    This tour provides a great introduction to the distinct flavors of Venetian cuisine. Make your way to meet your guide and the other members of this small-group or private tour. Soak up the historic character and sample cicchetti such as tuna balls with tomatoes and polenta topped with seafood.

    Stroll over to the Cannaregio neighborhood and duck into an 18th-century watering hole on the bustling Strada Nuova. Sink your teeth into some of the bar’s famous cod cicchetti or fried mix fish. From here, cross the Grand Canal on a traghetto passenger ferry at the historic, open-air Rialto Market, where many Venetians shop for daily fresh produce and seafood.

Taste different varietals of regional wine and toast your Venice vacation with a glass of sparkling Prosecco.     Silvia was fantastic. We have done a few walking tours and some walking food tours, but this was by FAR the best. Our guide was so friendly and helpful, she really made us feel like we understood what the locals like and do. I would do this exact tour again if I am back in Venice! Really worth the cost

    Our guide was excellent. The restaurants and food choices were mediocre. Not worth the cost. We’ve been on a bunch of food tours and other tours and would recommend the “Venice in a day” tour to learn about Venice, and skip this tour. Just walk around and get cicchetti on your own.

    Silvia was our tour guide, and she did a fantastic job of showing us around the different areas of Venice near the Rialto bridge, whilst trying out a variety of food and drink specialties. She was very knowledgable, was more than happy to answer our questions, and was a delight to be with throughout the tour. You also briefly ride the Traghetto across the Grand Canal, which offers a taste of what a Gondola ride would be like, without needing to spend €90 for a dedicated Gondola ride. Well recommended for anyone who wants to try out different foods and drink in the city, especially if you feel a bit shy going to some of the smaller, more local venues.

    My family and I did this tour with Orsola. She was pleasant to speak to and very knowledgeable. She took us around town and shared many interesting facts about beautiful Venice. All the cicchettis were good and fresh, same as the wines and drinks. I definitely recommend this tour with Orsola!

    This was a great tour! We got a feel of what was in the area. The choices of food were well planned and very tasty. Our tour guide was very informative, describing the history of each location as well as explaining the background of the food.

    Luda was an excellent tour guide, we really enjoyed learning about the Venetian food and wine culture. We went back to a few places we stopped at based on the recommendations. This is a tour you should absolutely go on.

    Silvia, our tour guide was super friendly and engaging. She walked us around various areas of the city providing local history and insights along the way. We had a number of stops and tried lots of Cicchettis along the way. Each one was paired with various wines from whites to reds, prosecco and even a really fabulous dessert wine at the end. Both food and wine were plentiful. If you take the price point of this tour, you could probably have a decent 3 course meal at a local osteria or trattoria...but you wouldn't get the local history, the variety of food and drink we had and Siliva's general bonhomie and enthusiasm. Very enjoyable, food and drink more than ample (and I like my food!), and Silvia a perfect tour guide for this event.

    The food and wine were both absolutely wonderful but the star of the show was our tour guide, Alice!!! She was very kind and welcoming. As a solo traveler, she made me not feel weird about being alone. She took the time to remember all of our names and, even though it might seem like something small, it really meant a lot. The group was also very welcoming. It was a great tour to get to know the more local spots and I can definitely say I will be returning to at least 2 of our stops (and out of 4 I’d say that’s amazing!) The weather was not the best, a constant rain, but it was not an issue at all. Can’t recommend this tour enough!
