Perched above the city of Stirling on a chunk of volcanic rock, this mighty Scottish fortress has seen it all, from attacks by Robert the Bruce to the coronation of the infant Mary Queen of Scots to the premiere of the movie “Braveheart” in 1993. In addition to the impeccably recreated Royal Palace interiors and the sheer amount of history held within its robust walls, the castle also offers superb views over Stirling and Scotland’s green hills and valleys.

Wonderful day in Scotland!
Eszter is a warm, knowledgeable, and very hospitable guide! We enjoyed a lovely day out with her and our group. The tour offers something for everyone: art, nature, and history. We had plenty of time to explore the Kelpies, Loch Lomond, and Stirling Castle, and we never felt rushed. Access to clean bathrooms and snacks was frequent. Lunch at The Oak Tree beside Loch Lomond was a delightful treat! We highly recommend this tour and will tour with Viator again.

Fantastic Loch Lomond Tour with Kenny
The gorgeous trail around Loch Lomond was our favorite part of the tour. The Kelpies were stunning & Stirling Castle has amazing views. Our guide Kenny was lovely and put it all into context for us with just the right balance of history and humor.
