In a small group of no more than six people, learn the basic concepts and ideas of tea ceremony, as well as the required etiquette. Watch a demonstration of the way of tea, then make your own. Your instructor guides you in how to drink it and also serve you a traditional Japanese cake.

You'll visit two ramen shops for two wildly different bowls of ramen. One bowl will represent classic Kyoto ramen and the other, more modern ramen. Each bowl is smaller than normal (about 1/2 the size of a full bowl). At the beginning of the tour, you'll sit down with the guide to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Tea ceremony, temple spotting and transport by train: do all three on this tour of historic Uji from Kyoto. After traveling to the city by train, walk to iconic Ujibashi Bridge with a guide, passing through Nakanoshima Park, and stop at a Taihoan teahouse to enjoy the important business of taking tea. Before your return to Kyoto, visit Byōdō-in, Uji’s striking Buddhist temple, which dates to the Heian period, and hear about its history from your guide.

First, you will take sweets and green tea making class.　They select the Japanese sweets made of bean paste depending on the seasons. You will make Maccha green tea by yourself. After walking along Takasegawa river, you will enter NIshiki market street where you can choose to eat anything at stalls. Then, on sunny day, Picknick at Chohoji temple. you learn a little about Way of flower in Japan at the place where Ikenobou school(flower arrangement school) was given birth. On rainy day or too hot day out for picknick, you can have shaved ice or any Japanese sweets at a Japanese style cafe.
