The basics

For decades, art collectors Carlos and Rosa de la Cruz invited visitors directly to their Miami home to admire their vast, masterpiece-packed displays. But since 2009, the couple has made these works even more accessible at the de la Cruz Collection, a private, 3-story museum dedicated primarily to modern and contemporary art. In addition to showcasing pieces by artists such as Alex Katz, Félix González-Torres, Salvador Dalí, and Ana Mendieta in its changing, yearly exhibitions, the museum hosts a range of talks and programming throughout the year.

Given its accessible visiting experience and convenient Design District location, the de la Cruz Collection is easy to visit as part of a cultural crawl of Miami.
