The basics

At the Miami Children's Museum, there are hundreds of interactive exhibits, as well as programs, classes, and learning materials. Kids can play with money at the miniature Bank of America, shop at the local Publix Super Market, or take a Carnival cruise. One of the more impressive exhibits is the Music Makers Studio, where budding rock stars can lay down a few tracks and play instruments.

The museum is one of the included attractions on the Go Miami Card, allowing you to visit anytime during your stay in Miami.

When to get there

Expect to encounter the biggest crowds on weekends and when cruise ships are docked. Since there are no school group visits on Mondays, the museum hosts “Mini Mondays” featuring a program of activities specifically designed for infants and toddlers. On the second Saturday morning of every month, the museum offers sensory-friendly experiences for children with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorders, and global developmental delays.
