The Whitney Plantation was one of the most infamous plantation estates in Louisiana, having housed some 60 slaves between 1819 and 1860. Today, the site serves as one of the only slavery memorial museums in the United States, having opened in 2014. Through original period buildings, art exhibits, and first-person narratives, visitors can gain an understanding of the lives of slaves in 19th-century America.

Thank You Brian with Crescent City Tours!
Crescent City Tours was excellent! There are many options for getting to The Whitney Plantation, but they made the trip a delight. Brian, the transportation tour guide, was a pleasure to meet. He was very professional and organized, ensured our safety during the drive, shared valuable information and stories, eased the trip with a lot humor, and made the experience memorable for me. I look forward to rebooking with Crescent City to continue my research and explorations of Louisiana. Thank you!

Always In Good Hands!
Another memorable experience with Crescent City Tours to the Whitney Plantation! It's always an honor to be in good hands with this transportation company. For this trip, it was nice taking in the seasons harvest sights and connecting with the energy of the land in cooler weather. I now look forward to going to The Myrtles Plantation soon for a tour and paranormal investigations. Excited to know they also have a restaurant and hotel to scope out too! Thank you Crescent City Tours!

Emotional and Educational
Very educational. I liked that the tour was self guided with an audio device. The displays were very emotional and educational. One display showed family lineage going back to Africa. VERY moving! This experience was a myth buster.
