Then, head to Jabal Shams, otherwise known as the “Grand Canyon of Oman” for an off-road adventure and unparalleled views of the region.

Experience both the desert and the waters of the wadis today in this full day group tour from Muscat. You’ll visit Wahiba sands and explore the sculptured dunes in the South of Ibra. Later you’ll get to Wadi Bani Khalid with its constant flow of water among the large boulders throughout the wadi. Play in the desert, and then have a swim later on.

Early morning you will meet with our bedouin guide and start an exciting exploration of the nature and animal life in the desert. Walk around and get surprised how many animals are living at the dry desert. the 1 hour trekking trip will give you a look into Wahiba Sand dunes, to hunt scorpions, mice and geckos. This trip can be extended per hour or a full trekking day, after lunch in winter time.

First, you will be welcomed at host home’s doorstep and take you upstairs to where they live. Starting by setting in the living room area, having Omani dates and coffee as the Omani traditions goes. During this time, chatting will take place and get to meet the entire host families. After that, you will be taken to the terrace where the buffet is, and given brief of each dish, its origin and history and then of eating.
