Best experience in Santornini

This hike was one of the best experiences on our recent trip to Santorini. Our guide, Arsenios, was excellent - a true local who provided us with a wealth of information on the natural surroundings and history during the entirety of the hike. Aresenios also provided the right amount of guidance and encouragement to keep us motivated to complete the hike - which is challenging in some parts. Such a memorable experience for us!

Highlight of Santorini trip.

I Recommend It

Our guide, Katherin, was very knowledgable and personable. She gave plenty of opportunity for questions/breaks/water. This was a very fun, moderately challenging hike and a great way to see different vantage points of this beautiful island.

Do the Hike!!!

Arsenios was amazing and the hike was very enjoyable. Some of the best views we’ve seen on our trip !! Towards the end the hike goes uphill on rocks/gravel can be a little tough but nothing too bad just make sure to bring water. We opted to forgo our taxi that was included to explore Oia longer and find one own way back. Oia was so overcrowded it was miserable but we walked to end and down about 400 steps to ammoudi bay. You can’t take commercial taxi but they have a small water taxi that is 100 euros for 4 people that will take you back to Fira. We had amazing lunch and drinks while on the wifi next door before our return trip. Very fun full day, our only regret was we left Fira so early not much was open so we didn’t get to explore much.

Great Hike from Fira to Oia

We had a great time with Arsenios. We got to see so much of Santorini up close, walking thru the ritzy hotel districts, business areas, out in the country, with spectacular views of the sea, past churches. This is a 7.8 mile hike, up and down; be prepared. We learned about Santorini from a native, we enjoyed wonderful weather, and even got a recommendation for an incredible lunch back in Fira. Note that Fira is filled with tourists - this is a great way to get away from the crowds. Absolutely would do it again.

Must DO Hike

Katherin was a FABULOUS guide on this 6 1/2 mile hike from Fira to OIa. This was one of our top activities in Santorini and highly recommend this hike if you are up for a somewhat challenging adventure. Katherin was a great guide, keeping an enjoyable pace for the group and sharing the history of Santorini.

Highly recommend!!!

Our tour guide was amazing! He was so through with his explanations and his knowledge of the island was priceless. The hike was fairly strenuous so pack water and sunscreen and comfy sneakers. It was a lot of fun and was an excellent way to see the island
