The oft-photographed bridge has been integrated into the Old Course at St. Andrew's Links, and you can see it for yourself if you play there. Even if you're not much of a golfer, you can still see the bridge—and the golf course that surrounds it—by signing up for a St. Andrew's day tour from Edinburgh.
Be respectful of golfers by not lingering too long on the bridge (and watch out for flying golf balls).

The bridge is located at St. Andrews Golf Course on the northeastern coast of Scotland. It's about a 90-minute drive from Edinburgh. If you aren't visiting with your own car or on a guided tour, you can get there by taking the train from Edinburgh to the Leuchars railway station, a 5-minute drive or taxi ride away.
The best time to visit the bridge and its surrounding golf course is during the summer when the weather is warmest and there's slightly less chance of rainfall. Note that the golf course is only sometimes open for tours, so it's best to check about any special events well in advance to avoid disappointment. The course is closed to golfers on Sunday, but the bridge is accessible.
Most people don't come to St. Andrews Golf Course just to see the bridge but to visit—or even tee off at—the Old Course. It's among the world's best-known golf courses, and getting a tee time is allocated through a lottery system. Other courses at the complex include the New Course (which dates to 1895) and the 9-hole Balgove, a prime choice for novice golfers.
