The entire trip was amazing. Our guide Kate provided so much information about the region and Mont St. Michel. She was very passionate about telling the story of Mont. St. Michel. Highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky you will get Kate as your guide.

Amazing site. Guide was helpful in explaining the history and made the trip very easy to do. Tour could have moved at faster pace though and could be condensed down to maybe an hour less.

Our tour to Mont Saint Michel with Gold Beach Company was outstanding. The meeting spot was easy to find, and the van was comfortable. Our tour guide was excellent, and she provided an informative overview of Mont Saint Michel and Normandy during the van ride. The shuttle to the “island” was convenient. There are quite a few steps to reach the Abbey, and the guide took a leisurely pace, allowing those with physical challenges to kee up. The views from the Abbey were spectacular, and the guide shared information detailing the site’s origins. Overall, this is a 5 star tour.

I came to Bayeux with a group of four for the Mont St Michel all day tour. Two more people were in our group snd they were very nice. Oliver was our guide and he was wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable about Mont St Michel. It took me a little longer than the rest of my group to climb all the stairs, but I did and I'm glad of it. I wouldn't have wanted to miss the view! Oliver was patient and a very good tour guide. I had read all the reviews ahead of the tour and it's helpful to do that.

We highly recommend this. Mariam was our guide and she did a great job. It is a must see in the Normandy area and we felt it was better with a guide. It was worth the money. This is our second tour with Gold Coast and both have been wonderful.

A long time to wait to vist this amazing place did not disappoint. Our guide did an amazing job of sharing the history and really, her love showed through as we were guided through the history of Mont St Michel. The addition of the bridge was a great surprise and a small let down but really, at now 70 yrs, I was happy not to take off my shoes to walk the low tide to visit.

Our tour guide Kate was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We powered through some challenging weather and she didn't let it phase her (or us) a bit! Just an amazing place with so much history. Does not disappoint.

Prior to this trip I had not even heard of Mont-Saint-Michel. WHAT A GEM....visually sunning, loads of history, great little town with so many places to eat and shop. Our tour guide Oliver was great, he was a wealth of knowledge but didn't overwhelm us. Thanks to him for suggesting the one of a kind Omelettes at La Mere Poulard - expensive but worth the experience (and the taste) . My only 'complaint' is that there was a lot of stair climbing and some of the group was not prepared/able to move at the same pace as others. The time there was limited and those of us that could get around quicker were held back. When you're on vacation and you only have a limited amount of time that can be frustrating, in the tour description it would be nice to have some sort of disclaimer on the 'fitness' level that is needed to do the tour.

350 steps to climb

The tour itself was good. It would have been useful to have had recommendation on what to wear, etc for challenging climb to the top of the Abbey. Steps were steep and unstable and many part had no hand rails. The two guides were not as fluent in English and appeared quite nervous when presenting narratives. A lot of the explanations were lost. One good aspect of this trip was that the tour started earlier than most excursions so we were able to see most of the areas in the abbey without crowds. However, by noon, a lot of tour groups pacted the village areas and it was not pleasant navigating through the crowd.

Our guide Loraine was bubbly and funny, and her knowledge of Mont Michel history is good, and eagerly answers to questions with a hints of jokes on side that entertain the experience. The van was comfortable and despite it was full, it wasn't cramped, so it was grand. Loraine recommended affordable eating spots and cautioned about tourist traps. The rendezvous point at place de Québec is easy to find and guides can find clients quite quickly. I enjoyed my tour to Mont Michel and it was great doing with a guide than figuring out alone how to navigate to the island, parks, drive in the highways, it's way economical, and getting by smoothly without the hassle. I think a day tour is enough, staying the night be interesting to see the sunrise and tide flow, but other than that, a day would be sufficient to experience the island and abbey well. I would recommend the Gold Beach Company tours for your Mont Michel tours.

Magnificent Mont Saint Michel tour

Kate was an excellent tour guide. She is personable, friendly and full of knowledge. It was a cold day and the rain held off until the afternoon. The crowds were small and it was easy to move around the abbey and village. We had enough time to thoroughly explore on our own once Katie finished with her guided tour. A memorable day. Thank you.

Elisa was so great. Friendly, sweet and so knowledgeable and ready to answer questions . I was concerned about navigating steps down the abbey. I mentioned to her and she immediately said she would walk with me if I needed help.!
