Apparently we were fortunate enough to hear the Star-Spangled Banner and taps played even though it was 11:30 in the morning. We were told that the usual time was when the flag was being lowered at 5 PM our guide was wonderful.

If you don't have a lot of time in the area, this tour hits the highlights....

My two boys and I enjoyed this tour very much. The van was comfortable and an easy way to get around between the sites. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared interesting information and stories. We could have easily spent an entire day touring with her. She allowed plenty of time to walk around and reflect at the individual sites. It is hard to see everything in such short time frame, and this hits the highlights. I'm glad we did a tour because I don't think we (and especially my boys) would have gotten as much out of our visit if we had just gone on our own. And, this is a nice small tour where you're not struggling to keep up and hear what the guide is sharing.

This tour was amazing - not only did we see the key beaches on D-Day and the American Cemetery, we learned a lot -- mostly because we had a truly amazing tour guide, Celine. She knew so much about the invasion, and all around it. She is warm, friendly and really easy to converse with, I would give an 11 stars if I could !

Marine was an absolutely amazing guide. We came to visit family who landed on D Day and was buried at the American Cemetery. Not only did she show us where he landed and where he likely met his end but ensured we were able to properly memorialize him on our visit to the cemetery. Her knowledge was vast and we really enjoyed our time with her. If you book with this company request her by name! A+

Insight into my dad's life when he was once a younger man.

The info JB provided regarding the Allies battle on D-Day. My father did not take part in those days of the war, but he did arrive thereafter going through the fighting in the Ardenne region, the Battle of the Bulge and the liberation of the Buchenwald death camp in/near Jena, Germany. He spoke little of these experiences, but I have (small) photos received after his death in 1986 of him and his fellow soldiers with writing on the backside stating the photos location in Jena. As our tour guide JB did a wonderful job this past Monday (June 5th) relating what the experiences were for those that did fight and we returned on 6-6-23 where we experienced the D-Day ceremony when a speaker did talk of the Battle of the Bulge. It was very moving. Thank you for the experience.
