Fun on a wild ride on the water

Each trip can be totally different. One day fairly calm, easier to get closer to the seals and wall caves. The next, we experienced 2 to 3 meters swells, and approx 24 km. Winds. A bit more of a woohoo ride. Sure gave us great blow hole pictures. An earlier fall trip, Beginning of April makes a for a chillier ride. 100% A/C. The excellent crew of Kieran and James, ensure you are aware of safety and health requirements. They provide good commentaries on many aspects. Ginger pills and water were a welcome perk.. Morning tea and lunch were excellent. Served with a smile and good chance to chat with fellow travellers. Ferry line up made for a short wait, with the operators timing it well. Thank you for a good day

Great action packed day with wonderful scenery.

Great action experience even suitable for we older folk. Tour was really well organised. Boat trip was excellent with very experiences staff who knew how to stop people from getting motion sick!! Scenery was stunning! We didn't get to see the fur seals as the seas at the Southern Ocean junction were a little too wild on our day. Everyone was offered a $20 voucher to use at the bar or gift shop but many people commented that that wasn't necessary as they had already had a fabulous ride. Morning tea and lunch were very nice.

An experience worth doing

Great day out, would definitely recommend. Cruise is exciting and interesting in equal measure. Weather meant it was a bit damp and cold although that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the day. Have the fish and chips for lunch, they are great! The team look after everyone, are informative and fun. Many thanks

What a ride

Excellent staff. Both Isabel and David were excellent. The only issue we’re have is that the stop at the neck was too short. We should have at least 30 minutes there.( all we had was 12 minutes). The boat ride was breathtaking and the pilot was well versed in the sites of the area.

Great day out

We had a lovely day on Bruny Island. We had a group of Intellectually Disabled adults with us, and we were made to feel very welcome. The 3hr boat cruise was brilliant, despite having 3-4m swells. We went out to an Australian Fur Seal colony and enjoy zooming over the waves and doing some donuts. We had a nice morning tea and lunch, and visited a beautiful lookout. Our group also enjoyed the car ferry experience.

We loved the cruise which took us out to the Australian Fur Seal colonies and with 4m waves, the Blow Holes were spectacular. We stopped at 1 lookout, but it would have been nice to see a little more of the island.

Very well organized trip. You will go by bus on the ferry to cross to the Bruny Island,where after a snack, you will enjoy a 3-hours boat ride around the southern part of th Bruny Island to admire amazing cliffs, rock formations, seals and dolfin. Highly recommended!

Pennicott cruises do not disappoint

David our driver was entertaining and great, even funny at times. Did Bruny Island again our 2nd time as did not do the cruise last time, did just the land tour. Pennicott cruises we cannot recommend enough, the guys are caring if you are not well, they really want you to see dolphins and others. We have now done 3 Pennicott cruises and definitely recommend this company. Had morning tea and lunch included and it did not disappoint. Thanks David and everyone at Pennicott cruises.

A wonderful day on Bruny Island

The whole day was terrific. We had a very personable and knowledgeable driver/guide in Ben. We saw much more about Bruny Island from the water than it we had just taken the drive trip. A very exciting boat ride and due to the speed and maneuverability of the boat, we able to get out to see a whale breaching as a bonus. An outstanding lunch with fresh fish was served. We also admired and respected the tour operator's care fro the environment. Totally recommend this tour for anyone staying in Hobart.

From the staff at the ticket office to all of the tour guides throughout the day, this tour company was amazing! Everyone was so knowledgeable and made sure it was a really fun day. I would definitely recommend this tour!

The trip to Bruny Island on the bus and barge was interesting with opportunities to get off the bus and walk around the barge. The cruise was amazing with caves, swells and seals. A pod of dolphins, including a baby, swam with us for around 10 minutes. Bus driver/deck hand, Jordan and our clever female captain kept us safe, informed and entertained. Lunch of fresh fish at the warm restaurant very welcome after the spray and cold (rug up) air. And a stop on the way home to pick up cherries grown on Bruny Island. Great trip for a solo traveller. Well organised.
