Was misleading having to back track to get a second bus Tour to the top of mount Wellington good however disappointed not what is mentioned on the site
Mountain View was amazing. Second half just ok.

I did not realize that this tour was two hop on, hop off bus rides. I kept trying to contact the tour operator and never got any response. However, the tour up to Mt. Wellington was quite good. Tony, the bus driver and guide, was interesting and entertaining. The views from the top were amazing. He also found (and took pictures for us ) a black tiger snake and well as an echidna on the side of the road. In the afternoon, the bus was much smaller an uncomfortable. We went to the town of Richmond,, but we did not need 2.5 hours to cover it. The driver took the 2 of us to a cheese store a little ways away. He offered it to everyone, but we were the only ones to take him up on it. Even with that we still sat in the bus for 45 minutes.

Our experience with the this shuttle tour fell short. Missed the second tour to Richmond due to a communication lapse about changing buses. The Mt. Wellington tour though was great, but the lack of clarity affected the overall experience negatively. Better communication needed for a smoother tour next time.

Tour guide who was also the driver was very nice, friendly and always provided informative details and stories. Pick-up location is easy to find, yet the time for Richmond village tour was misleading. It was showing as 13:00 in the app but the actual time was actually 13:30, we waited for half an hour for the shuttle coming. I also wish the time allowed in Richmond could be a bit longer.

Booking disappoint

Well my trip was cut short and was abused by other passengers because we weren't listed on the manifest even though we had tickets that were purchased online. The best part of the trip was John the driver with his wealth of knowledge and the amazing experience and view from the top of Mt Wellington. Also enjoyed a great pie and ice cream from Richmond.

Hello Scott_C, We are pleased that you enjoyed your tour. I apologise for any stress caused with your tour booking itself at the time. John your driver contacted me at the time and although we couldn't located your booking at the time we quickly in the background worked to find a solution so that you could still travel as planned with the least delay. We moved a few bookings around to ensure there only ended up being a 10 minute delay as far as I was aware in the tour departing (with you on board) which have minimal impact as we made time up enroute. You attended both tours as originally planned and it is good to hear that your experience of the tours themselves and the driver was a positive one. I will pass your compliments on to our driver John. The food in Richmond is amazing I agree! This has never occurred before and we finally worked out that there was a temporary booking glitch (which we have since fixed) at the time that was beyond our control. I do apologise for any inconvenience or frustration caused at the time. I am disappointed that the reception from the other passengers traveling on the bus wasn't a positive one though. If we could have assisted in reducing the other passenger negative responses or if you feel the driver or myself as the Tour Manager could have dealt with it better or quicker at the time then please contact our tour office. We always strive for positive customer experiences on all our tours and look at ways to improve our behind the scenes operational procedures. This is very important to us.
