The bus trip to the top of Mt Wellington was good and the driver, Colin, was excellent in every respect. That was the best part of the activity unfortunately. The ferry trip to MONA was good. The best part of our MONA experience was seeing the actual space: how it had been carved out of the sandstone. As for the content of MONA it was largely pretentious and at times crude rubbish. We were very disappointed and we would not recommend the activity to anyone.

Beautiful country side awful art experience

We loved the Mt Wellington tour, the bus driver guide was excellent. The MONA was over rated, I was not impressed by their art range or the fact that many exhibits were closed or you had to find them ( digital guide was poor) and then que digitally, the stair wells smell of cat pee 🤢 it also thought it was rude to make us walk up the 99 stair when there was a beautiful tunnel entrance we could have gone through not nice to do at midday ina heat wave and then we had to walk downstairs to the entrance to get a drink of water 😰

A must do when in Hobart

Both the Mt Wellington tour and the Mona visit were memorable. Although it was amazingly cold up on the mountain, it is something you have to do when visiting Hobart, also the visit to Mona was something that we will never forget, but hard to put into words,

Mt wellington and Mona, was a nice ride with heaps of info. The boatride to Mona was nice as well, with loads of bar products available. Mona itself was really nice, with a lot of food and bev options as well.

Overall the tour was fantastic. However, the bus we had experienced mechanical issues at the start of the trip. Leaving us with a 30 min wait for a new bus and a reduced time at Mt Wllington/MONA. I understand that this is most likely a one-off experience and applaud the staff for their professionalism in providing a new bus in a timely fashion. I was also offered another trip the very next day, though, due leaving I was unable to grasp this opportunity.

Great tour up to mount wellington and back. The weather was kind to us and we got some great photos from the top. Our guide was excellent. The visit to Mona was interesting though I would recommend that you download the app ahead of time and make advance reservations for some of the activities..

Great combination for a day trip

Good combination trip to be able to see some lovely views around Hobart and then Mona. We were lucky to have snow on Mt Wellington as well as an added bonus. The ferry over and back to Mona is great way to see more great views and then Mona itself was such a unique experience. The driver on the bus was fantastic. Very informative and friendly.

Fab trip - experienced, friendly and informative driver tour guide called Colin, who kept us interested and entertained. The combo of the Mt Wellington visit, ferry transfer to Mona which was a highlight and then Mona made for a very enjoyable day. Everything was seamless and well organised....

A day of nature and art discovery

Mt Wellington was covered in snow and the views were spectacular. It felt like -3C so a good winter attire will be perfect. Cascade gardens in fall is equally amazing. Mona is an experience for those who love modern arts.

True delight

Cold start with Mt Wellington closed, however Carmel took us to see Cascades Brewery with a walk in the Gardens, a drive pass the Women's Prison and then word came through that Mt. Wellington was opened. Stunning views as well as wind. Great experience. We then drove back to Mona wharf and took the Mona Roma to Mona for rest of the afternoon returning by boat after a very interesting visit. Worth seeing. An extra is to dine at Source a well presented, culinary delight.
