This is the best tour we’ve taken in Hawaii - our guide and experience was fabulous!!! You must try it - one of the best parts was our guide took under water photos for us and emailed them within hours. Our guide (Chris) was super knowledgeable and informative/educational - great guy! Can’t say enough - he’s the best!

We had just done a boat/snorkel tour the day before and was debating on cancelling since we already saw the turtles, glad we didnt. Our guide Chris was excellent in taking care of us. Another person in our small group flipped his kayak before most of us were even in the water. Chris went out and did his best to get that person back on but was ultimately unsuccessful (at no fault of Chris) so helped the person get back to shore. I was initially very annoyed as time was running out and thought it would make our experience much shorter, but Chris made sure we got the full experience. Definitely would do again next time we come.

Whether it’s your first time snorkeling and kayaking or you have experience this is a great activity! Chris our tour guide was amazing plus photos from the trip are included. 10/10 recommend doing this if you are in Maui!

Enjoyed a pleasant kayak and snorkel trip with our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Chris. He very much enjoys the water, and had taken us to a more secluded location, away from the crowds. Chris also provided tips of other locations that have excellent snorkeling, my visiting those, seeing more turtles and colorful fish to fill a large aquarium. Everything was also very organized, a must on a relaxing trip. Highly recommended this trip with Chris.

This was an amazing kayak and snorkeling excursion! Our guide Chris was great and very knowledgeable about the marine life and the history of the Hawaiian islands. He also takes photos and sends them to you after. He made great restaurant recommendations as well. Chris was well equipped and made us all feel very safe. Chris met us in the most friendly and inviting manner. He thoroughly explained what to expect with clear easy to remember instructions giving us a preview of types of fish and marine life we would see. He also provided us with a history of Hawaii and lessons on the language in a light hearted humorous way that was memorable. He was super attentive especially to others in the group who started to feel sea sick. He guided us to find the best areas to see an array of marine life and he took the time to photograph those special moments. Thank you!!

We had a fabulous experience. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. Saw turtles, lots of fish and even sharks! Definitely would do it again. Beats the “cattle call” style trips hands down

The private snorkeling tour was my favorite activity during our trip to Maui. Chris was a wonderful tour guide - he was knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture and wildlife, taught us the significance and history of Hawaiian traditions and words, and pointed out all of the vibrant sea creatures we saw that day. We even stumbled upon a couple rare sightings: a hawksbill sea turtle and a Triton’s trumpet. He took excellent photos of us and the wildlife that I will treasure forever. Additionally, I am pregnant and not the most confident swimmer, and he was patient and nonjudgmental with me. We loved Chris’s enthusiasm and passion for what he does and would highly recommend his company if you get the chance to snorkel in Maui!

Chris and Erica were absolutely fabulous. It was a private tour so we had one on one time to ask questions about the island, learn about the culture, and get away from the crows. They took us to a place with a amazing fish and turtles among the reef. The pictures they captured were phenomenal! Soooo worth it. Thank you so much Chris and Erica!

Chris was an excellent tour guide and helpful making us feel comfortable learning to kayak and snorkel! He very was very knowledgeable about the waters and what areas would be best to snorkel. I defiantly recommend a private tour over an group activity that feels less personal. I am so glad we booked with Tropical Guides and Outfitters.
